  • Patent number: 7186060
Abstract: In lining work in which a lining pipe R formed by spirally winding a strip-like member 500 consisting of an elongated sheet-form body is left in place inside a tubular culvert P, and a new lining pipe is additionally formed in front of this lining pipe that has been left in place, a lining apparatus S which has a flexible forming frame 1 consisting of link bodies is used. The strip-like member 500 is wound around the forming frame 1 by means of a joining mechanism part 7 attached to the forming frame 1, and a lining pipe R is formed while being forcibly folded inward utilizing the flexibility of the forming frame 1; at the same time, a back-filling material is injected into the inward-folded part. The inward-folded part later returns to its original state. Alternatively, the diameter of a small-diameter lining pipe R formed by winding around the forming frame 201 or 401 is expanded, and lining is performed with the back-filling material injected during this diameter expansion process.

  • Patent number: 6234226
Abstract: lining apparatus deals with tubular culverts having various cross sections which are not limited to a general cross section of a circular shape but may be constituted by an oval shape, a rectangular shape or another polygonal shape and the like. The lining apparatus inserts a tubular body (lining pipe) formed by spirally winding a strip member having a long sheet-like body at an inner face of an existing tubular culvert such as a sewage pipe, a water supply pipe, a gas pipe or the like. The lining apparatus is constituted mainly by a forming frame in a closed loop shape made flexible by a link mechanism having a series of links. A joint mechanism unit is attached to the forming frame and a peripheral length adjusting mechanism adjusts the peripheral length. An interval maintaining mechanism fixes the peripheral length. Rotary guides are mounted to the forming frame and a rigid regulating frame is brought into contact with the rotary guides and is arranged on the inner side of the forming frame.

  • Patent number: 5799701
Abstract: Pipelines are lined by inserting a lining pipe R out of a long profile beltlike member to be supplied and wound involutely within the pipeline. A jointing mechanism and a guide roller block are arranged around a mounting frame. The lining pipe R is produced while it rotates on its axis in response to rotary drive by the jointing roller block. An additional lining pipe is formed out of a belt like member to be supplied anew and ahead of the already formed pipe, which is left behind. A rigid mounting frame enables lining pipes of a specific diameter to be formed. Also, a flexible mounting frame helps to cope with a pipeline which is rectangular in cross-section. In addition, the already formed lining pipe can be large in diameter by feeding the belt like member at a higher level than the jointing mechanism which is traveling and sliding the joints of adjoining portions of the already formed beltlike member.

  • Patent number: 4951758
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of drilling apertures for branch lines (A) blocked by renovation lining of a main pipeline (B) which comprises setting a water plug (1) in the opening of each branch line (A) prior to lining, said water plug (1) carrying a position marker (14) comprising an antenna coil and a resonator adapted to be excited by a driving signal and, after stoppage of the driving signal, release a resonance signal remaining in the resonator from the antenna coil and said position marker being situated in a position which, upon setting of the water plug (1) in position, is substantially concentric with the axis of the branch line (A), causing an antenna assembly for detecting the resonance signal to travel within the main pipeline (B) to detect the position of the marker (14) and driving a drilling means (24) using the thus-detected marker position as a target from within the main pipeline.
