  • Publication number: 20070064927
Abstract: There is disclosed an input device which prevent an operator's unintended operation without degrading operability, even when a plurality of operation input means is arranged close to each other so as to respond to various operations. When an input managing unit 25 receives an operation signal of a second input device 22 from a second input control unit 24, the input managing unit 25 determines whether a first input device 21 is being depressed or not from an operation signal from a first input control unit 23. Then if the first input device is being depressed, the operation signal from the second input device 22 is invalidated and discarded. Similarly, the operation signal from the second input device 22 is also invalidated until a given period has lapsed after the first input device 21 is released.

  • Patent number: 5711232
Abstract: A Stirling engine has an external combustion chamber for burning a kerosene and transferring a high temperature therein to working fluid in heater tubes. In the case of the present invention, the external combustion chamber is connected to a furnace for burning industrial waste materials such as plastic materials or rubber materials so that the high temperature above 900.degree. C. is able to be supplied to the combustion chamber. This serves in raising an output power of the Stirling engine. A conduit for connecting the furnace with the combustion chamber is proveded with a dumper capable of interrupting a flow of the high temperature combustion gases toward the combustion chamber of the Stirling engine.

  • Patent number: 5441401
Abstract: An apparatus for decreasing nitrogen oxides in a combustion device of Stirling engine which performs continuous combustion includes a combustion chamber, means for supplying the combustion chamber with fuel and air, an exhaust passageway for discharging exhaust gas produced by combustion in the combustion chamber, a catalytic unit arranged in the exhaust passageway for purging toxic components contained in the exhaust gas discharged, and hydrogen supply means for supplying hydrogen gas to the exhaust gas which enters the catalytic unit. The hydrogen gas is supplied to the combustion exhaust gas which has entered the catalytic unit, and the combustion exhaust gas is then catalytically reduced in an environment of a comparatively low temperatures of less than 250.degree. C., whereby the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas are decreased.

  • Patent number: 5032036
Abstract: A joint structure of an annular member and a shaft member softer than the former is produced by(a) providing a shaft member with an oil spreading over its circumference, the shaft member having a plurality of discrete grooves, on its circumference in an inclined angular configuration about the axis of the shaft member, and(b) press fitting the annular member to the bore of the annular member with an interference such that the inner periphery of the annular member bore meshingly expands into the grooves. Press fitting proceeds under resilient deformation of the inner periphery of the annular member in the boundary friction state. A continuous oil film remains on the mating surfaces while securing firm joint.

  • Patent number: 4776075
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a piston of an internal combustion engine, especially for forming a piston gallery portion provided in the piston head for cooling the engine. A gallery member made of a metal pipe having a high thermal conductivity or a salt-core having a shape corresponding to the piston gallery is fixed to a fixing member having a peripheral rim and a plurality of fixing legs extended from the rim. The gallery member or the salt-core fixed to the fixing member is cast in the piston, body, and then, the fixing member is cut off from the piston body. The salt-core is melted away by pouring water. By this method, a piston of light weight and having high cooling efficiency can be manufactured.

  • Patent number: 4208746
Abstract: An irrigation system for human body such as anus and private part. The system comprises a heated water containing tank, a pair of heated water ejection units of an injection nozzle type for scouring or irrigating of anus and private part of female, and a heated air drying apparatus for drying anus and private part. A first temperature sensor is disposed in the tank for controlling intermittently a control circuit associated with a water heating unit in the tank so as to stabilize the temperature of the heated water in the tank. A second temperature sensor is disposed in the tank for deenergizing the water heating unit in the event the temperature in the tank rises up to a predetermined higher level. A pump motor unit and a water passage for mixing and agitating the tank water to avoid non-uniform temperature distribution are associated with the tank.
