  • Publication number: 20060082929
Abstract: A parasitic capacity C4 generated between a slider substrate and the first shield layer with the first insulating layer as a capacity layer is made substantially equal to a parasitic capacity C2 occurring between a lower magnetic layer and the second shield layer with the third insulating layer as a capacity layer. Preferably, a connection is made between the lower magnetic layer and the slider substrate by a resistance of preferably 100 (?) or lower. Thus, it is possible to provide a thin-film magnetic head that can hold back deterioration in a reproducing device and the occurrence of errors due to crosstalk between a recording device and the reproducing device and extraneous noises.

  • Patent number: 7000394
Abstract: A Rankine cycle system is provided in which, with regard to a given relationship between the pressure (Pevp) and the temperature (Tevp) of a vapor that is taken into an expander (4) that includes a cylinder chamber in a first stage and a vane chamber in a second stage, the chambers being disposed in line, the expansion ratio of the vapor that the expander (4) takes in and discharges is set at a predetermined expansion ratio (?) according to the given relationship so that the pressure (Pexp2) and the temperature (Texp2) of the vapor that is discharged from the expander (4) coincide with target values, thereby making the expander (4) and the condenser (5) exhibit maximum performance. Since the vapor within the cylinder chamber in the first stage is in a superheated vapor region and contains no water, the phenomenon of water hammer will not be caused in the cylinder chamber.

  • Publication number: 20050201018
Abstract: A magnetic head is provided for further improving a correlation between the dynamic characteristics and static characteristics. A lower magnetic shield layer, a magneto-resistive layer, and an upper magnetic shield layer are laminated on a base in this order. A lower lead layer and an upper lead layer apply a sense current to the magneto-resistive layer in a direction substantially perpendicular to the film plane thereof through the magnetic shield layers. The lower magnetic shield layer and upper magnetic shield layer have their shapes and sizes which substantially exactly overlap each other, when viewed in a laminating direction. The lower lead layer is electrically connected to the lower magnetic shield layer. At least a portion of the lower lead layer closer to the lower magnetic shield layer is made of a non-magnetic conductive material. The upper lead layer is electrically connected to the upper magnetic shield layer.

  • Patent number: 6856431
Abstract: A gateway apparatus includes facsimile and Internet communications mechanisms, a memory, and a communications controller. The facsimile communications mechanism receives facsimile communications protocols and facsimile information from a calling facsimile apparatus through the telephone network. The Internet communications mechanism transmits the facsimile information in a packet format to a called facsimile apparatus via a different gateway apparatus through the Internet and the telephone network. The memory stores data representing a calling facsimile number of the calling facsimile apparatus in association with a called facsimile number of the called facsimile apparatus. The communications controller determines before establishing a line connection whether the facsimile number of the calling facsimile apparatus is registered.

  • Publication number: 20040200350
Abstract: An expander includes a rotor rotatably supported by a casing, a group of axial pistons and cylinders installed so that its axis is surrounded by the rotor, and a swash plate having a rotating surface inclined with respect to the axis of the rotor and is rotatably supported by the casing. The relative rotation of the swash plate and the rotor around the axis is restricted and the relative shifting of the swash plate and rotor in the direction of the axis is allowed, by fitting a slider, fixed to the swash plate by a synchro-pin, into a long hole of an output shaft. Therefore, it is possible to prevent wrenching between the swash plate and the rotor due to thermal expansion while reducing the bending moment acting on the pistons of the group of axial pistons and cylinders of the expander.
