    Abstract: A head slider includes inside an alumina member, a first heater, a first resist, and a second heater entirely covered by a second resist shields. Another shield is arranged such that a predetermined surface of the other shield touches the second resist. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the second resist is greater than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the first resist and enables to plastically deform the other shield. In addition to elastic deformation of the shields due to thermal expansion of the first resist, using plastic deformation of the other shield due to thermal expansion of the second resist enables to further secure a protrusion margin of a read element and a write element and to reduce a levitation amount of a head from a storage medium surface to a required standard.
