The paired lid rails extend in a vehicular traveling direction, and in a vehicular height-wise direction. The console lid reinforces the console box in the vehicular width-wise direction. The two lid rails reinforce the console box in the vehicular traveling direction, and in the vehicular height-wise direction.

Abstract: An air conditioner register includes a downstream retainer portion, a barrel pivotally mounted in the downstream retainer portion to change the flow direction of air for air conditioning, and a pair of guide fins. First outer surfaces of the barrel extend along first inner surfaces of the downstream retainer portion. The barrel is supported pivotally about a pivot shaft extending in the direction perpendicular to a second inner surface of the downstream retainer portion. Each of the guide fins guides air for air conditioning into the opening of the barrel upstream in the airflow direction. Together with pivoting of the barrel from its neutral position, one of the guide fins is moved together with the barrel to a position between the barrel and a portion of the first inner surface of the downstream retainer portion from which the opening of the barrel upstream in the airflow direction becomes separated as the barrel pivots.

Abstract: Doors are made to open and close from a center of an opening of an accommodation box in such a manner as a double-leafed hinged door does via an interlocking mechanism (link mechanisms) which converts a sliding movement in a direction which is substantially normal to a plane including an opening into rotational movements of the doors around corresponding rotational axes which are set individually on left- and right-hand sides of the opening, and when they are in an open position where the opening is opened completely, the doors are stored compact to lie along left and right lateral sides of the accommodation box.

Abstract: A compartment temperature adjustment switch 12 is provided for successively switching a target temperature of a compartment air conditioner through pushing operation of a push button 12a. The switch 12 includes the push button 12a, a substrate 22 fixed to the push button 12a, and light emitting elements 23 mounted on the substrate 22. The segments are selectively illuminated when the light emitting elements 23 are turned on, and a target temperature is numerically displayed on the push button 12a by a combination of illuminated ones of the segments. An information display portion is integrally formed with the push button 12a.

A translucent portion of a board lighting apparatus and a translucent portion of a console lighting apparatus are structured such as to serve as a decorative luminous portion and a lighting luminous portion. Since the board lighting apparatus is arranged in an upper side of a glove compartment, it is possible to apply decoration to a portion around the glove compartment and light a space at a time when the glove compartment is open. Since the console lighting apparatus is arranged in an upper side of the center console, it is possible to apply decoration to a portion around the center console and light an area around the feed of a passenger.

Abstract: Operation switches, which a passenger operates with his/her fingers, are disposed on the front end of the upper portion of a console box, and a palm rest on which the passenger rests his/her palm is set rearward of the operation switches. An operation knob that releases the locked state of the console box is disposed on a lower portion of the palm rest in a range where the passenger can reach the operation knob with his/her fingers. Consequently, when the passenger wishes to adjust the front-rear position of the palm rest, the passenger can move the console box by simply lifting up the operation knob with one hand to release the locked state, and without having to conduct an operation such as opening a lid or the like.
