  • Patent number: 11972053
Abstract: An object of the present disclosure is to provide a tactile presentation control apparatus that can provide an operation feeling of a dial knob that allows intuitive operation by a tactile sense of the user, and is user-friendly. A tactile presentation control apparatus according to the present disclosure that has a tactile presentation knob placed on an operation surface and presents a tactile sense to the user via the tactile presentation knob. The tactile presentation control apparatus includes a tactile control unit that performs control to present different tactile senses to each of a plurality of operation regions on the operation surface when the tactile presentation knob is rotationally operated. When the tactile presentation knob is present in one of the operation regions, the tactile control unit performs control to present, as the tactile sense, a frictional force generated in the tactile presentation knob to the operation region.

  • Patent number: 4774392
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and device for cutting a workpiece made from a high chromium material such as stainless steel. The device comprises a processing head to irradiate and focus a laser beam onto a workpiece, a nozzle connected to the processing head for spraying and assisting gas onto the workpiece, a storage tank for storing a carbonate, and an orifice device for drawing carbonate from the storage tank so that it may be fed into the nozzle and sprayed onto the workpiece with the assisting gas. The addition of carbonate to the assist gas prevents excess dross from adhering to the cut surface of the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4427873
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for aligning the axis of an assisting gas nozzle with a laser beam axis using a test piece in apparatus which uses a laser to process workpieces is disclosed in which the laser beam is arranged to pass through the assisting gas nozzle, and pierce the test piece. The test piece is held by a holder which includes a pressure detector which measures the pressure of the assist gas flowing through the hold pierced in the test piece. The assisting gas nozzle is adjusted in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the laser beam to obtain a maximum pressure value, which indicates that the axis of the assisting gas nozzle and the axis of the laser beam are in alignment with each other.

  • Patent number: 4190143
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for facilitating safe operation of mechanical presses. The press includes a press ram mounted on a crank shaft and adapted for reciprocatory movement along a vertical path between uppermost and lowermost points on the path. A motor is provided for turning the crank shaft through 360 degrees rotation including an upper dead center position. The press further includes main clutch and brake means for disconnecting the crank shaft from the motor and stopping the ram at the uppermost point of its path of travel after completion of a stroking cycle. At this point the crank shaft is at its upper dead center position. The press also includes an auxiliary clutch which is operatively connected in series with the main clutch and which is normally engaged for transmitting power from the motor to the crank shaft.
