  • Publication number: 20150340058
Abstract: A rotating device includes: a hub mounting a recording disk; a base rotatably supporting the hub via a bearing, a core fixedly mounted on the base, and having a circular portion and salient poles protruding radially outward; a coil wound around the salient poles; and an FPC including driving lines. The base has a wire hole that communicates between an upper face that faces the coil in the axial direction and an opposite lower face. The lower face has a bottom recess portion surrounding a hub rotational axis, and regions facing each other across the rotational axis. The FPC includes an arc section housed in the bottom recess portion. Each lead wire is drawn out from the coil to the lower-face side via the wire hole, and is connected to the driving line on a connection land formed at an interval from the wire hole in the circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 8638526
Abstract: In a rotating device, a housing includes a cylindrical outer surface facing an inner surface of a through hole and a guiding surface arranged on the underside of the outer surface, the diameter of the guiding surface being less than the diameter of the outer surface. Glue has an interface in an end space. In at least a part of the end space where the glue does not exist, conductive resin seamlessly is applied from the guiding surface to the inner surface of the through hole. With regard to a portion of the inner surface of the through hole that radially faces the guiding surface, the length, in the axial direction, of the portion that touches the conductive resin is greater than the length, in the axial direction, of the portion that touches the glue.

  • Patent number: 8427779
Abstract: In a disk drive device, a recording disk is mounted on a rotor. A base has a bearing hole, the center of which is along the rotational axis of the rotor. A bearing unit rotatably supports the rotor with respect to the base, the bearing unit being glued to the bearing hole. A ring-shaped first groove, the center of which is along the rotational axis, is arranged on a side surface of the bearing hole. A ring-shaped second groove, the center of which is along the rotational axis, is arranged on an outer surface of the housing, the outer surface contacting the side surface of the bearing hole. The position of the second groove with respect to its direction along the rotational axis is different from the position of the first groove with respect to its direction along the rotational axis. The base and the bearing unit are electrically connected by a conductive resin applied along an edge portion of the bearing hole, the edge portion being on a lower surface of the base.
