  • Patent number: 7962852
Abstract: An information processing apparatus restricts admission to space occupied by a user in a virtual space. When a second user of a second terminal makes a request for admission to space which is in the virtual space and which is occupied by a first user of a first terminal, a space management server transmits data to the first user causing the first user to recognize that the request for admission is made by the second user. In response to an action based on the data, the first user performs an operation. If the first user performs an operation to permit the second user admission to the space, the second user can enter the space occupied by the first user.

  • Publication number: 20110128299
Abstract: In one example embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a display device which displays a first image associated with a first observation target object. The first image has a first display range. In one example embodiment, the display device displays a second image associated with a second observation target object. The second image has a second display range. In one example embodiment, the information processing apparatus enables a user to change the first display range of the first image. In response to the first display range being changed, the information processing apparatus simultaneously changes the second display range of the second image.

  • Publication number: 20110131535
Abstract: In one example embodiment, an information processing apparatus generates and causes a display device to display a first thumbnail image which is associated with annotation information. Using a size of the first thumbnail image, the information processing apparatus determines a display size of a first annotation which corresponds to the annotation information. Using the determined display size, the information processing apparatus determines a second annotation. In one example embodiment, the information processing apparatus causes a display device to display the determined second annotation overlapping the first thumbnail image.

  • Publication number: 20110129135
Abstract: In one example embodiment, an information processing apparatus, for an observed image associated with an observation target object (e.g., a section of biological tissue), associates and stores position information and observation magnification information. In this embodiment, the information processing apparatus causes a display device to: (i) display an image associated with the observation target object; (ii) indicate the first positional information of the first observed image; and (iii) indicate the first observation magnification information of the first observed image.
