  • Patent number: 7808686
Abstract: It is intended to provide a picture editor which displays the color pictorial data matching designated pictorial information, according to pictorial information code of the analyzed color pictorial data of a plurality of color pictures added to the color pictorial data, picks out and displays the color pictorial data matching designated pictorial information. For this purpose, the information code of each pictorial information on brightness, saturation, and hue of the color pictorial data, which is analyzed, digitized, and averaged in a pictorial data analyzing unit, is added to the color pictorial data in a retrieval information adding unit. According to the color pictorial data to which the information code is added, a retrieving unit picks out the color pictorial data matching designated pictorial information. A video monitor displays the retrieved color pictorial data.

  • Publication number: 20100247204
Abstract: A tape printing apparatus registers a word string constituting document data to be printed by depression of a print key in a learnt-contents storing region under subscribed conditions. A CPU divides the document data to be printed into letter strings based on information about constituent letters of the to-be-printed word string and a learning condition determination table. Thereafter, the CPU determines whether or not the to-be-printed word string should be registered based on registered letter string data stored in the learnt-contents storing region and the contents of the divided letter string.

  • Publication number: 20090213421
Abstract: A personal computer connected to a USB port of a printer through a management table managing writing on an ordinary storage region in FLASH ROM recognizes the ordinary storage region in the FLASH ROM of the printer as a removable drive which is a USB mass storage class device. Accordingly, an execution file of an application program stored in a portion of the ordinary storage region in the FLASH ROM can be read with a usual access from the personal computer, enabling the application program to be executed without being installed. When the application program is executed on the personal computer, periodic accesses are made to the ordinary storage region of the printer, and when an access fails, the application program is terminated.

  • Publication number: 20090109486
Abstract: In a printer, when a file is received from a personal computer connected by way of a USB port, an ordinary storage region in a FLASH ROM is recognized as a removable drive by the personal computer, which disables the writing management by a management table for managing the writing operation into the ordinary storage region in the FLASH ROM by USB standard, the received file is stored in a temporary storage region in a RAM, the attribute of the received file is determined, and when the received file is a printing file, the received file is transferred from the temporary storage region in the RAM, and written into a position in a printing memory layout region in the FLASH ROM obtained by referring to an address table.

  • Patent number: 7525876
Abstract: The electric apparatus performs time display that is optimal for a user, without need of operations for switching time display by use of the 12-hour system and 24-hour system. In a tape printer, a keyboard section and a CPU are connected to each other via any one of a plurality of solder points A, B, and C. If the solder point is “A” (YES at S103), an hour system flag is set to “OFF” (S105). If the solder point is not “A” (NO at S103), the hour system flag is set to “ON” (S107). If the hour system flag is OFF, a target country (target district) of the keyboard section is “USA”, so that time is displayed in the 12-hour system on a liquid crystal display section, while if the hour system flag is ON, the target country (target district) of the keyboard section is not “USA”, so that time is displayed in the 24-hour system on the liquid crystal display section.

  • Patent number: 7313457
Abstract: A pattern selecting portion selects a desired embroidery pattern from a plurality of embroidery patterns. A pattern editing portion edits the embroidery pattern displayed on the display. A first determining portion determines, before the selected embroidery pattern is edited by the pattern editing portion, whether each of a plurality of embroidery frames is usable for sewing the selected embroidery pattern based on embroidery data for the selected embroidery pattern. A second determining portion determines, after the selected embroidery pattern is edited by the pattern editing portion, whether each of the plurality of embroidery frames is usable for sewing the edited embroidery pattern based on embroidery data for the edited embroidery pattern. A reporting portion reports when at least one embroidery frame determined to be usable by the second determining portion is different from at least one embroidery frame determined to be usable by the first determining portion.

  • Patent number: 7296941
Abstract: It is intended to provide a tape printer and a tape creating method which can achieve a high degree of accuracy and constant length of printing even when the rotational speed of a DC motor changes due to the increase of a wire-wound resistance value because of the heat generation of the DC motor under the continuous driving and the load change by the replacement of a tape. The print cycle algebra is corrected in each time when a pulse number inputted from the photo sensor reaches a control pulse number. Line printing on the surface tape is performed by means of the thermal head with this print cycle algebra as a print cycle.

  • Publication number: 20070113206
Abstract: It is intended to provide a document processing apparatus which can store an input history of the character data and command data being inputted, and analyze an input frequency when changing over a display screen, and move a cursor to an optimum position, thereby preventing a user from feeling uncomfortable or stressed in operation. In the change of the display screen, the document processing apparatus analyzes and calculates the character data and the command data inputted with the keyboard and stored in a key history buffer by weighting on each data by the input frequency thereof. An editing operation of a maximum value of the result is classified as any one of editing operations including a character input operation, character forward/backward delete operations, and left/right/up/down move operations of the cursor. The cursor is moved to the optimum position of a liquid crystal display depending on the operation.

  • Patent number: 7004654
Abstract: A tape printer for securing a time period sufficient for processing printing data even if the rpm of a DC motor increases, when an encoder is used for detecting rotation of the DC motor. When the DC motor does not rotate at a constant speed, in principle, the encoder detects an amount of rotation of the DC motor. Accordingly, a thermal head is driven for printing, every time a predetermined angle of rotation is sensed. On the other hand, when the DC motor rotates at a constant speed, the thermal head is driven for printing at constant intervals.

  • Patent number: 6874962
Abstract: A tape printer that prevents shifting of a printed dot due to a reverse rotation caused by the DC motor stop when power supply to a DC motor is resumed. When the power supply to the DC motor is suspended, the DC motor often rotates in a reverse direction immediately before rotation of the motor stops. The amount of reverse rotation is detected by an encoder. This amount is compensated immediately after the power supply to the DC motor is resumed. After the amount of forward rotation identical to the amount of reverse rotation amount is detected, printing is resumed by the printing head.
