Abstract: A grain-oriented electrical steel sheet excellent in film and iron loss characteristics. The steel sheet contains up to 0.005% of C, 2.0 to 7.0& Si in terms of weight % and the balance iron and unavoidable impurities. An oxide film which mainly contains forsterite is formed on the surface and an insulating coating is formed on the oxide film. The peak intensity of Si obtained by glow discharge spectral analysis (GDS analysis) from the oxide film surface is at least ½ of that of Al, and the depth of the peak position of Si from the oxide film surface us up to {fraction (1/10)} of the depth of that of Al. The sheet satisfies the formulas for a ratio y(%) with which peeling of the oxide film does not take place when subjected to a bending test with a curvature of 20 mm and for core loss characteristic W (W/kg): y(%)≧−122.45t+112.55 W (W/kg)≦2.37t+0.280 wherein t represents a sheet thickness in terms of mm.

  • Patent number: 5326953
Abstract: A wire electrical feeding device for an electrical discharge machine. Vibrator assemblies are utilized to feed the wire electrode through electrode guides of the electrical discharge machine. A first vibrator assembly vibrates through a locus which includes a component in the wire feeding direction. The wire electrode is selectively pressed against the first vibrator assembly when the first vibrator assembly is moving in a direction having a component in a wire feeding direction. In the alternative, a second vibrator assembly, which is coupled to the first, clamps the wire electrode when the first vibrator assembly is moving in a direction having a component in the wire feeding direction. The vibrator assembles may each be driven at different vibrational frequencies.

  • Patent number: 5165286
Abstract: A strain detector in which a pair of magnetic layer patterns (5, 6) made of a magnetically permeable soft magnetic material are attached to a driven shaft (1) and a pair of detection coils (8, 9) are disposed to surround the respective magnetic layers for detecting a change in magnetic permeability of the magnetic layers which is caused when an external force is applied to the driven shaft. A magnetic yoke (15 or 16) is disposed around each of the detection coils (8 or 9) for promoting the passage of the magnetic flux therethrough, thereby decreasing flux leakage. The magnetic yokes (15, 16) each comprises an axially extending tubular member (15a) and radially inward outer and inner flanges (15d, 15e) extending from axially outer and inner ends of the tubular member, respectively. The magnetic yokes each may be made of a compacted core material containing magnetic powder and binder or assembled from a plurality of parts.
