Patent number: 5326953Abstract: A wire electrical feeding device for an electrical discharge machine. Vibrator assemblies are utilized to feed the wire electrode through electrode guides of the electrical discharge machine. A first vibrator assembly vibrates through a locus which includes a component in the wire feeding direction. The wire electrode is selectively pressed against the first vibrator assembly when the first vibrator assembly is moving in a direction having a component in a wire feeding direction. In the alternative, a second vibrator assembly, which is coupled to the first, clamps the wire electrode when the first vibrator assembly is moving in a direction having a component in the wire feeding direction. The vibrator assembles may each be driven at different vibrational frequencies.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1992Date of Patent: July 5, 1994Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yoshitaka Ohnishi, Naoki Yagi, Yoshio Shibata, Masato Banzai, Toshio Suzuki

Patent number: 5165286Abstract: A strain detector in which a pair of magnetic layer patterns (5, 6) made of a magnetically permeable soft magnetic material are attached to a driven shaft (1) and a pair of detection coils (8, 9) are disposed to surround the respective magnetic layers for detecting a change in magnetic permeability of the magnetic layers which is caused when an external force is applied to the driven shaft. A magnetic yoke (15 or 16) is disposed around each of the detection coils (8 or 9) for promoting the passage of the magnetic flux therethrough, thereby decreasing flux leakage. The magnetic yokes (15, 16) each comprises an axially extending tubular member (15a) and radially inward outer and inner flanges (15d, 15e) extending from axially outer and inner ends of the tubular member, respectively. The magnetic yokes each may be made of a compacted core material containing magnetic powder and binder or assembled from a plurality of parts.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 1991Date of Patent: November 24, 1992Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tiyo Hamamura, Keiitiro Kobayashi, Hideo Ikeda, Katsuhiko Honda, Yoshiyasu Ogata, Naoki Yagi
