  • Publication number: 20110292249
Abstract: An electronic camera includes an imager. An imager, having an imaging surface capturing a scene, outputs an image. A specific key is transitioned among a non-operated state, a first operated state and a second operated state. A sensor senses the specific key being transitioned from the non-operated state to another state. A setter sets a reference indicating a magnitude different depending on a state of the specific key, in response to a sensing of the sensor. An adjuster adjusts an imaging condition based on the image outputted from the imager. A controller determines whether or not a variation of the scene captured by the imaging surface exceeds the reference set by the setter, so as to permit an adjusting process of the adjuster corresponding to a positive determined result while restrict the adjusting process of the adjuster corresponding to a negative determined result.

  • Publication number: 20100182493
Abstract: An electronic camera includes an imaging device. The imaging device repeatedly outputs an object scene image produced on an imaging surface capturing an object scene through a focus lens. A position of the focus lens is repeatedly changed by a moving amount Wrough under the control of a CPU. Moreover, a distance from the focus lens to the imaging surface is repeatedly changed by a moving amount Wfine, smaller than the moving amount Wrough, under the control of the CPU. The CPU adjusts the position of the focus lens to a position corresponding to a focal point, based on the object scene image outputted from the imaging device, in parallel with such a rough adjusting process and/or a fine adjusting process. However, the CPU restricts the rough adjusting process when the contrast of an object belonging to the object scene falls below a reference.

  • Patent number: 6728058
Abstract: In a cassette tape recorder for recording signals on a magnetic tape wound on a pair of reels of a tape cassette or reproducing signals from the tape, a control circuit for controlling a tape transport mechanism detects the amount of the tape remaining unwound and extending to the tape tail end, and controls the tape speed based on the tape position corresponding to the detected amount of the remaining tape. The control circuit estimates the thickness of the tape and alters the tape position where deceleration of the tape is to be started, in accordance with the estimated tape thickness. Consequently, even when the tape thickness varies from tape to tape, the time required for winding up the magnetic tape can be shortened by giving specified speed variations to the tape in the high-speed winding mode.

  • Patent number: 6603919
Abstract: The present invention automatically provides a title of a recording medium such as a tape cassette in a manner that service data of a broadcast program extracted by a data extraction circuit 6 is analyzed at a digital data analysis section 91, and when a title of the program is obtained by the analysis section, the program title is registered in a memory 8 as a title of the recording medium such as a tape cassette currently being recorded.

  • Patent number: 5526127
Abstract: The video tape recorder includes key input unit for inputting the "G-code", decoder for decoding the "G-code", teletext signal extracting circuit for extracting the program list including the VPS code multiplexed on the vertical blanking period from the video signal, and teletext control unit and preset control unit, implemented by a microcomputer, for carrying out a predetermined control. The "G-code" input from key input unit 11 is decoded by decoder. Preset control unit causes teletext control unit to extract the VPS code of the program specified by the "G-code" from the program list transmitted by the broadcasting station specified by the "G-code". Recording is controlled based on the extracted VPS code. Therefore, even when the time of broadcasting of the preset program is changed by the broadcasting station, the program can be recorded accordingly.
