  • Publication number: 20090167947
Abstract: In a video data processor, the control unit cyclically defines a plurality of slots to the data bus, sets band width of each slot to be band width capable of transmitting the video data without missing frames, and assigns the video data to the slots. Only the video data of slots assigned by a bus arbiter may be received transmission permission in a round-robin system, then, the video data of the slots is transmitted to the data bus. Thereby, the band of the data bus may be efficiently used without affecting on transmission of video data of which the transmission speed should be kept constant.

  • Publication number: 20090129757
Abstract: A video recorder which can maintain compatibility with a video recorder which uses magnetic tape as a recording medium and manage recorded videos easily is provided. The video recorder has a random access recording medium, a video management part, a control part and a video playback part. The video management part records information showing a group, and information showing record order of the video material in the specified group in the recording medium as the management information. A control part records the video data in the recording medium, reads out the management information from the recording medium, and read out the video data in the record order according to the information showing the record order. And the video playback part plays back the video data read out from the recording medium.

  • Publication number: 20090110365
Abstract: It is provided a recorder apparatus in which a user can use simply and efficiently plural functions which can be performed simultaneously. According to an embodiment of the invention, a recorder apparatus has a display, an input section for a video being inputted, a random access recording medium for recording the video, an output section for outputting the video recorded in the recording medium, a multitask control section, a display control section and a reception section for receiving an specification of the tab and the direction of the video for a processing target for the selected function. The multitask control section performs plural functions in parallel simultaneously which plural functions includes a function for recording the inputted video in the recording medium. The display control section displays tabs assigned to the plural functions respectively and processing situation of the function selected by specifying the tab on the display.

  • Publication number: 20090077596
Abstract: It is assumed that a reception processing unit receives a broadcast program in accordance with tuning based on the user's specification. In this state, a non-viewable state detection processing unit monitors occurrence of a non-viewable state from an acquisition state of reception data. When the non-viewable state occurs due to a certain factor, a non-viewable state accumulation unit accumulates information on the non-viewable state. When the factor of a viewing interruption is solved and a user makes a request for service provision, the processing unit connects to a distribution apparatus to report content of the non-viewable state, and receives distribution of a relevant content, thereby the processing unit becomes able to recontinue interrupted broadcast content.

  • Publication number: 20080232361
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an IP broadcast system includes a transmitting side and a receiving side connected to the transmitting side through a broadcast network on an IP network. The transmitting side includes a multiplexer which generates a standardized multiplex frame including at least a header field and an information field by multiplexing a plurality of RTP packets. The receiving side includes a buffer which temporarily holds the multiplex frame from the broadcast network and a program reproducer which retrieves and analyzes the multiplex frame from the buffer, extracts a reproduction clock shared by a plurality of programs, demultiplexes a plurality of TSs for each program from the multiplex frame, and based on the reproduction clock, reproduces the programs from each TS.

  • Patent number: 5682387
Abstract: A demand assign multiplexer has a multiplexing portion multiplexing a signal which can be transmitted in a statistical multiplexing. Also, the multiplexer has an output element for outputting a channel assignment demand depending upon a signal from a system which requires guarantee of transparent data transfer which guarantees content of transfer in a normal state of a transmission path. A control portion controls to perform demand assign process with channel assignment depending upon the output of the statistical multiplexing processing portion; and the signals which require guaranteed transparent data transfers.
