The audio equipment includes: the rotary operation unit rotatably supported in relation to an equipment body; an operation detecting section provided for the rotary operation unit and in which an electric load changes in response to a pressing operation; a power supplying section provided for the equipment body and configured to supply power to the operation detecting section in a non-contact manner; and a monitoring section configured to monitor the power supplied by the power supplying section to detect the user's operation from a change in the power.

An audio information reproducing apparatus is provided with: a detecting device for detecting said one audio information and said another audio information from the information record medium and also detecting a time period required for one beat of the detected another audio information; and an accumulating device for accumulating said one audio information detected from the information record medium to thereby continue reproducing and outputting said one audio information through the accumulating device. The audio information reproducing apparatus is also provided with a controlling device for controlling the detecting device to detect said another audio information and the time period required for one beat, within a time duration that the accumulated one audio information is being reproduced and outputted through the accumulating device.

Abstract: An audio signal processing apparatus for changing a tempo of an input audio signal is disclosed. The apparatus includes a magnification designator capable of designating a plurality of different magnifications. A device is capable of automatically detecting a beat(s) per minute, BPM, or the audio input signal. The device may also detect a beat period of the input audio signal. The device also changes the BPM or beat period in accordance with a magnification designated by the magnification designator. Further, the device changes the tempo of the audio signal in accordance with the changed BPM and the changed beat period.

Since it is not necessary to read TOC information each time a recording medium is replaced or a group of recording mediums is replaced, the recording mediums can smoothly be played back.

Abstract: When information to be registered is produced with respect to a new group of recording mediums, such new information is shifted and stored successively in old storage areas of a memory. Therefore, the information can be stored in the memory on a time-series bases. The times at which the information is registered can easily be determined without relying on any counter or the like. When the registered information of the recording mediums which is stored in the memory is to be used again, registered information which is newer than the registered information to be used again is shifted successively into the old storage areas, and the registered information to be used again is transferred to a newest storage area. The registered information can be stored in the order of frequency of use, and registered information which is of higher frequency of use can be stored in a newer storage area.

Abstract: Table of contents (TOC) information is read before a plurality of recording mediums, such as compact disks, each having recorded information to be reproduced and TOC information, with respect to the recorded information are played back. Playback operation of the recording mediums is controlled based on the read TOC information. Programmed information which indicates a sequence according to which the recorded information of the recorded mediums is to be reproduced is read from a programmed information memory based on the result of checking of the recording mediums. The playback operation of the recording medium is controlled by a playback control unit based on the programmed information thus read. The playback operation can immediately be controlled based on the stored programmed information.
