  • Publication number: 20130272010
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a light source mounting structure including a bulb mounting hole provided in a reflector, a socket fixture configured to be fixed to the bulb mounting hole, and a bulb including a bayonet flange configured to be inserted into the bulb mounting hole and, when rotated, to be engaged with the socket fixture. The socket fixture is integrally provided with a snap fit that is capable of being elastically deformed and configured to be engaged with the bayonet flange. The bulb is easily mounted due to the elastic deformation of the snap fit and is also suppressed from being detached. The snap fit is integrally formed with the socket fixture, and thus, the number of components may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 8393771
Abstract: A vehicle headlamp including a discharge lamp, which includes a light source, and a cap that holds the light source. The vehicle headlamp also includes a reflector, which includes a light reflecting part and a lamp holding part formed contiguously with one end of the light reflecting part. The vehicle headlamp also includes a socket connected to the cap, which supplies drive current to the lamp. The socket includes a case that holds a structure disposed therein, and a connection portion, which is connected to the cap and which protrudes toward the cap from an opposite surface of the case facing the cap. A conductive member is mounted on the lamp holding part to transmit noise generated when the lamp is turned on and a conducting portion is formed on the opposite surface of the case to surround the connection portion. The conductive member and the conducting portion are connected.

  • Patent number: 5702173
Abstract: A vehicular lamp having a combination lamp structure in which the reflectors for a plural number of lamps and an extension reflector are provided in a lamp body, wherein a reflector for at least one lamp of the plural number of lamps and an extension reflector are constructed as a single body. Of the reflectors for the lamps, the reflector fixedly mounted on the lamp body and the extension reflector are preferably constructed as a single body. A specific reflecting portion for reflecting light from a bulb toward a lens area located apart from the bulbs of the lamps is formed as a part of the reflector. For example, a lamp of which the lens is partly extended to the side of a vehicle body, and a specific reflecting portion for reflecting light from the bulb toward a lens area of the lens extending to the side of the vehicle body is formed as a part of the reflector of the lamp.
