  • Publication number: 20020088541
Abstract: The method disclosed is for thermoplastic welding, by fusion bonding, an integral assembly of at least two composite thermoplastic parts (2, 4). One part (2) is integrally molded with a plurality of ribs (7) to be used and bonded to their mates (8) of the counterpart (4). A heat generator assembly (3) applies heat energy to the ribs (7, 8) of the parts so as to heat and thus fuse them. Immediately after the application of the heat energy, pressure is applied to the heated parts (2, 4) to push them together. The heated ribs (7) of the part (2) are consequently aligned and bonding contacted with the heated ribs (8) of the counterpart (4). This application of pressure is maintained during a predetermined period to facilitate fusion bonding of the ribs (7, 8). Finally, an integral assembly in which the part (2) is rigidly welded to the counterpart (4) the ribs (7, 8) is produced.

  • Patent number: 5656306
Abstract: A mold assembly is disclosed that has an electrically heatable body, that glues and trims a film, and that minimizes the heat loss of the heatable body. The mold assembly includes a receiving mold (2) formed on the upper part of a frame (1), a non-current-conductive and heat-resistive material (11) disposed at the periphery of the receiving mold and having vertical throughbores (14), an electrically heatable body (5) extending along the throughbores, and metal holders (12) disposed in the throughbores (14) to hold the electrically heatable body (5) in a non-contact relation with the heat resistive material (11) at least at the positions where the holders are.

  • Patent number: 5435967
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of preparing a molded body good in processing properties, having fine contiguous pores throughout it. The surface texture of the body is fine. The body is excellent in thermal conductivity and heat-resistance properties, can be readily prepared, and is usable as a transferring mold. The method comprises compounding and mixing 5-20 parts by weight of a binder consisting of a modified amine and a modified M. D. I. that are both liquid with 100 parts by weight of an aggregate consisting of aluminum powders or aluminum-based alloy powders, filling the mixture in a molding flask, and compressing it under a pressure per unit area of 20-80 kg/cm.sup.2, and maintaining it under the same pressure until the binder is hardened.

  • Patent number: 5405570
Abstract: A method of preparing a durable air-permeable mold having dimensional accuracy and without cracks clue to the segregation of the ingredients of the aggregate and without a surface irregularity, which comprises compounding 100 parts by weight of an aggregate obtained by compounding metal powders with metal oxide powders in a weight ratio of 5:95 to 30:70, the metal of said metal oxide powders being the same as that of the metal powders, 80% or more of said metal powders and said metal oxide powders having grain sizes of 300 .mu.m or less, with 10 to 35 by weight of an auxiliary hardening material that is softened and melted during the sintering process, and 10 to 25 by weight of a binder that contains an evaporable component, mixing them to form a slurry mixture, pouring it in a pattern mold to obtain a mold, drying the thus-obtained mold, and sintering the dried mold in an oxidative atmosphere at a temperature of 600.degree. to 1200.degree. • Patent number: 4623499
Abstract: A method for manufacturing shaped articles of organic substance is disclosed, which comprises mixing an organic substance as raw material with a binder, filling a die with the resultant binder-containing mixture, compressing the mixture in a prescribed shape in the die, and forcing a gaseous curing agent through the compressed mixture thereby curing the binder in the mixture and consequently solidifying the compressed mass. This method enables shaped articles such as noise absorbers, heat insulation panels, and plate materials to be produced efficiently and inexpensively at low energy consumption by the use of an inexpensive die.
