  • Publication number: 20230330760
Abstract: A dust collection box includes: a box entrance section through which an air flow is let into a dust chamber; and a box-side exhaust outlet through which the air flow in the dust chamber is let out of the dust chamber. The box-side exhaust outlet is disposed behind the box entrance section. The dust collection box also has a case guide section which guides the air flow introduced into the dust chamber toward the downstream side. Accordingly, the air flow introduced into the dust chamber is caused to flow downward at a front end of the dust chamber, to flow backward at a lower end of the dust chamber, and to flow upward at a rear end of the dust chamber.

  • Publication number: 20220125267
Abstract: As a result of the rotation of a fan (65) driven by a motor (40) inside a housing (2), dust-laden air that has been sucked in from a nozzle (92) passes through a filter device (95), flows as in (C1, C2), and is discharged from a discharge port (30) to the outside of the housing (2). Viewed in the direction of the axis (A1) of the motor (40): an air intake port (10) is located in front of the motor (40); a battery pack (100) is located behind the motor (40); and a handle (4) is located behind the motor (40). • Publication number: 20220123569
Abstract: A charging device (1) includes: a case (4) to which a battery pack is detachably attached; a charging circuit portion that charges the battery pack; a fan (30) for cooling; a first opening portion (5) for intake; and a second opening portion (6) for exhaust. An air path from the fan (30) to the second opening portion (6) is connected by an air path forming portion (33) having a long and curved passage length. The air path forming portion (33) narrows down at a point in the middle to achieve a positional relationship in which the fan (30) cannot be seen from the second opening portion (6), thereby making it difficult for operating noise of the fan (30) to leak to the outside. The air path forming portion (33) is formed using a wall surface of the case (4), an outer air-guiding wall (34), and an inner air-guiding wall (35).

  • Patent number: 10718243
Abstract: The temperature of exhaust gas discharged from a compact air-cooled engine used as a power source for an engine-driven working machine is reduced. An engine has a muffler mounted directly to the exhaust opening of the cylinder, and a resin muffler cover covering the muffler. An exhaust gas restriction member is provided to a wall surface of the muffler, and two exhaust passages serving as outlets for exhaust gas are formed in the exhaust gas restriction member. The exhaust passages are arranged independent of each other, and the streams of discharged exhaust gas are discharged to be slightly separated from each other as the streams flow away from the exhaust openings. The separated streams of discharged exhaust gas form a negative pressure space between the streams promoting the introduction of a cooling air stream into the negative pressure portion. Thus, the temperature of the exhaust gas can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20190257237
Abstract: An engine blower is achieved which can obtain a large blowing volume and a high cooling efficiency of the cylinder and the muffler. A suction opening is formed in the second case partitioning the volute chamber and the muffler chamber at the front of the partition plate and at the rear of the muffler cover. The volute chamber has a shape that the width perpendicular to the front-rear direction is locally narrowed behind the suction opening, and a first curved portion is provided immediately after the suction opening, and a first curved portion is provided in the second case. Immediately before the first curved portion, the air pressure locally drops due to the air supply flow whose flow velocity is increased. The air pressure becomes a negative pressure state when viewed from the muffler chamber. Air flows from the muffler chamber side to the volute chamber side via the suction opening.

  • Patent number: 10280827
Abstract: An engine is configured so that a muffler is affixed to the exhaust opening of the cylinder, and the air-cooled cylinder is cooled by a cooling fan. The engine is provided with a muffler cover for covering the muffler, and exhaust gas is discharged inside the muffler cover along the wall surface of the muffler. A second cooling air is combined with the exhaust gas flow from the upstream side thereof to be parallel thereto, and a first cooling air having been caused to flow under the muffler is caused to perpendicularly impinge against the exhaust gas flow on the downstream side thereof. Thus, the cooling airs are combined inside the muffler cover with the exhaust gas flow, and as a result the temperature of the exhaust gas is sufficiently reduced at the time when the exhaust gas is discharged from the opening of the muffler cover to the outside.

  • Patent number: 10260453
Abstract: The disclosure provides a two-cycle engine and an engine work machine. When a piston is located on the side of a bottom dead center, at a part corresponding to a notch part in the piston, an inner surface of the crank case protrudes toward an interior side to form a crank case first protruding part penetrating through the notch part toward the interior side. Meanwhile, the crank case at a part corresponding to a part without the notch part in the piston is not in a shape protruding toward the interior side. By assembling the piston and the crank case in such shapes, the piston is able to reciprocally move up and down without interfering with the crank case. In this case, by disposing the crank case first protruding part, the volume in the crank case is able to be reduced.

  • Patent number: 9982665
Abstract: In an air compressor, inner blades of a cooling fan are formed into a centrifugal type, and outer blades are formed into an axial flow type. Exterior air is sucked through a ventilating window by the outer blades, and an air stream (CA1) is generated. A part of the generated air stream flows towards a stator coil, like an air stream (CA2). By a negative pressure generated by the inner blades, the air in the vicinity of the stator coil is sucked to the inner blades, like an air stream (CA3). The sucked air flows out from a motor-side opening towards a non-motor-side opening by a negative pressure generated by the outer blades, is sucked to the outer blades like an air stream (CA4) and flows out together with the air stream (CA1).
