  • Patent number: 7974440
Abstract: A person estimation device (10) includes an identification unit (200) for identifying a person in video. A person displayed in a smaller display area than the area defined by an identification enabled frame of the identification unit (200) is estimated by a CPU (110) in combination with the person identification by the identification unit (200). Here, statistic data concerning the person or the relationship between the persons is acquired from the statistic DB (20) and given as an estimation element. • Patent number: 7526180
Abstract: An image processing apparatus has a configuration in which contents-data received via a TV receiving unit is recorded in a main recording apparatus. When the proportion of use in all of storage capacity of the main recording apparatus exceeds a threshold, a system controlling unit determines reproduction priority on the basis of reproduction frequency Sx indicative of preference of a user, compresses contents-data having low reproduction priority, records the compressed contents-data into an auxiliary recording apparatus, and deletes the contents-data from the main recording apparatus. In such a manner, while making the preference of the user reflected, the contents-data in the main recording apparatus can be managed.

Abstract: An object of the invention is to make sound propaganda advertisement in reproducing the contents data recorded in a recording-reproducing apparatus. The recording-reproducing apparatus RC-k records and reproduces the contents data broadcast by a broadcasting installation BE. Such recording-reproducing apparatus RC-k downloads the replacement advertising information for replacing the original advertising information incorporated into the contents data from a management server CS in reproducing the contents data recorded in the self machine. At this time, the management server CS selects the replacement advertising information, based on the advertisement story pattern data indicating the advertisement substance, and the story pattern data indicating the substance of contents conforming to the preference of the user of the recording-reproducing apparatus RC-k, and distributes the replacement advertising information to the recording-reproducing apparatus RC-k.

  • Patent number: 5666460
Abstract: A compressed picture information recording apparatus which sequentially stores modulated compressed video signals in a memory, and reads information from the memory in such a way as to reduce the information reading speed when the remaining memory space becomes smaller than a predetermined value and to increase the information reading speed when the remaining memory space becomes greater than the predetermined value. This apparatus records the read information on a recording disk at a recording linear velocity according to the information reading speed. This structure permits compressed video signals excluding invalid data to be continuously recorded on the recording disk at a variable transfer rate according to the producing rate of the compressed video signals, thus ensuring a high recording efficiency.

  • Patent number: 5648948
Abstract: A digital audio signal recording and reproducing system employs a recording method which can function for a reproducing apparatus of a low price satisfying the performance of the conventional standard and also an expensive reproducing apparatus of a high sound quality which satisfy the standard of the Super CD featuring a wide band, a high sound quality, and multi channels. The recording apparatus divides recording audio signals into a plurality of frequency components and produces data for recording, respectively. Further, the recording apparatus adds identification data indicative of a frequency band of each of the data and records the resultant data. The reproducing apparatus selectively extracts each of the above data by means of the identification data and performs the reproduction of the extracted data.

  • Patent number: 5579121
Abstract: A real-time image compression processor records on a CD or other recording media a compressed video signal which is compressively processed in a high recording efficiency at real-time as being reproduced by a VTR while preventing the image quality from being degraded. There are provided a first encoder for compressively encoding the video signal, and a second encoder for compressively encoding the signal obtainable by delaying such video signal for a given period of time. A parameter adjustment is executed for the second encoder in accordance with the compressed video signal obtained through the compressive encoding by the first encoder.
