  • Publication number: 20070257668
Abstract: A magnetized layer (12) is integrally bonded to an annular holder (11) installed to a rotating body, the magnetized layer is made of a material obtained by mixing a magnetic fine particle to a rubber elastic material or a synthetic resin material and magnetized in a multipolar manner at a predetermined pitch in a circumferential direction, and a portion having a different sectional shape from the other portions is formed in a part in a circumferential direction in a joining part of the holder (11) with the magnetized layer (12), by a raised part (11c) or the like, so that a significant point of a signal level is formed in this portion on the basis of a difference in a magnitude of a magnetic field, whereby the significant point is set to a rotation angle measurement starting point.

  • Publication number: 20070246890
Abstract: An annular member, a sealing device, and a magnetic encoder device are provided. In the annular member, when a circular tube section (71) of the annular member (7) is fitted with interference in either one of an inner member (3) and an outer member (4) that are movable relative to each other, strain in the circular tube section (71) produced by the fitting interference is not transmitted to a flange section (72) to prevent wavy projections and recesses from being produced in the flange section (72). In the sealing device and the magnetic encoder device, even if the sealing device (1) and a magnetic encoder device (50) that have the annular member (7) are fitted with interference in the either one member, strain in the circular tube section (71) produced by the fitting interference is not transmitted to the flange section (72).
