  • Patent number: 4934463
Abstract: It takes high skill to achieve maximum efficiency of construction equipment under the ever changing working conditions. The automatic implement control system helps maximize operator efficiency and convenience by allowing a predetermined angle, lift and/or tilt position of a work implement (40) to be stored in the memory of the controller (3). In operation, the implement (40) may be moved from that stored predetermined position to perform other functions. In an automatic mode, the controller (3) can return the implement (40) to that predetermined position at any time during the work cycle. A valve (15-70) is provided for selectively switching between manual and automatic modes.

  • Patent number: 4082372
Abstract: A noise reducing device for a track chain arrangement in which a pair of track chains are trained around a sprocket. The noise reducing device reduces noise arising when the track chains come into engagement with sprocket teeth and includes a pair of annular supporting brackets secured to the opposite sides of the sprocket, a plurality of resilient members secured to the radial outer surfaces of the aforesaid pair of annular supporting brackets, and a pair of resilient metal hoops secured to the resilient members in concentric relation to the sprocket. The metal hoops are elastically deformed when the track chains engage the sprocket teeth.

  • Patent number: 4081202
Abstract: An improved noise reduction device for a chain drive mechanism is disclosed having a rotatable sprocket with a plurality of peripheral teeth thereon, a chain having a plurality of pivotally coupled links arranged in opposite pairs and a plurality of teeth engaging members trained around the sprocket wherein the device includes a plurality of curved plate springs mounted on the opposite sides of the sprocket for resiliently making sequential radial outward engagement with the chain and for reducing the contact noise between the teeth engaging members and the sprocket teeth. Such device is particularly adaptable to the chain drive mechanism of a track-type tractor.
