  • Patent number: 9533586
Abstract: A lock device includes an inlet arranged in a vehicle and having an inlet housing into which a charge cable is insertable. A lock mechanism is capable of locking the charge cable to the inlet. The lock device includes a lock mechanism attachment portion arranged in the inlet housing and enabling attachment of the lock mechanism to the inlet housing. The lock device may be located on an outer surface of the inlet housing and may include a movable lock pin that serves to retain a lock arm of the charge cable and may also be used to retain a lid for closing the inlet. With this system the inlet housing and lock mechanism form a single unit for ease of assembly.

  • Patent number: 9039437
Abstract: A lock device locks a locking subject and includes a lock member moved between a lock position for locking the locking subject and an unlock position for unlocking the locking subject. A first urging member urges the lock member to the lock position. A switching member moves between a first position where the switch member fixes the lock member at the lock position and a second position where the switch member permits the lock member to unlock the locking subject. A first actuator drives the switching member. A position detector is arranged in a power supply line connected to the first actuator. The position detector detects whether the lock member has been moved from the unlock position to the lock position subject and permits the supply of power to the first actuator when detecting the movement.

  • Patent number: 8816815
Abstract: A lock device for a power supplying plug arranged in a vehicle that performs wireless communication with an electronic key. The lock device includes a charge ECU that restricts unauthorized removal of the power supplying plug from an inlet of the vehicle. The vehicle includes antennas that transmit a wireless signal. A first one of the antennas relates to permission for removal of the power supplying plug. A second one of the antennas relates to unlocking or permission for unlocking of a door. A charge ECU stops transmitting the wireless signal from the first antenna when the vehicle is parked and the second antenna transmits the wireless signal. The charge ECU stops the transmission of the wireless signal related to the unlocking of the door when the wireless signal related to removal of the power supplying plug is transmitted.

  • Patent number: 8698349
Abstract: A locking device for a power feeding plug installed in a vehicle. The vehicle includes an inlet that receives the power feeding plug to charge a battery, which powers a motor. A door antenna transmits a verification signal to an electronic key. The locking device includes a lock bar moved between lock and unlock positions. The lock bar blocks the power feeding plug, which is attached to the inlet, when located at the lock position to prohibit removal of the power feeding plug from the inlet. An inlet antenna transmits the verification signal to an area that includes the inlet. The inlet antenna and door antenna are arranged at different locations. A controller moves the lock bar when verification of the electronic key is accomplished in response to the verification signal from the inlet antenna.

  • Patent number: 8647135
Abstract: A lock device locks a lid, which protects the inlet, and a power supplying plug. The lock device includes a helical gear rotated by the motor. A helical gear is connected to a control shaft. The control shaft is moved to a hook lock bar lock position when the helical gear rotates counterclockwise from the reference position. The helical gear is connected by a transmission member to a lid lock bar. The lid lock bar is constantly urged toward a lid lock position by a coil spring. When the helical gear rotates clockwise from the reference position, the lid lock bar moves to the lid unlock position against the urging force of the coil spring.

  • Patent number: 8547059
Abstract: A battery charging connector lock structure that locks a power feeding connector to a receptacle of a power receiving connector. The connector lock structure includes a restriction member that moves between a lock position, in which the restriction member restricts movement of a hook of the power feeding connector to prohibit removal of the power feeding connector from the receptacle, and an unlock position, in which the restriction member releases the hook to permit removal of the power receiving connector. The restriction member includes an extension. A stopper is coupled to the extension of the restriction member and moves the restriction member to the lock position or the unlock position. A drive source moves the stopper to move the restriction member to the lock position. An urging member is arranged on the extension of the restriction member to move the restriction member to the lock position.

  • Patent number: 8523589
Abstract: When a power plug locking device moves a plate to a lock position or unlock position, the plate is rotated toward an operational end position with a power plug lock motor while the current of the motor is detected. When the plate comes into contact with a switching piece of a switching mechanism, the switching piece applies a load to the plate. When the current flowing through the motor becomes greater than or equal to a threshold, the supply of power to the power plug lock motor is stopped. Then, switching load of the switching mechanism 48 pushes and moves the disk to an operational end position (lock position or unlock position).
