  • Patent number: 5989704
Abstract: An integrally molded automotive waterproof connector is disclosed which comprises a thermoplastic resin and integrated therewith an oil-bleeding silicone rubber, the thermoplastic resin containing a thermoplastic resin oligomer containing at least one aliphatic unsaturated group. In the connector, the adhesion between the thermoplastic resin and the silicone rubber is satisfactory regardless of the length of storage period as compared with connectors comprising a thermoplastic resin and a silicone rubber integrated therewith after priming. Further, the connector of the present invention is excellent in production efficiency and workability, is reduced in connector housing fitting force, and can retain satisfactory waterproofness.
