  • Patent number: 4325625
Abstract: An electrophotographing method for use in a copying apparatus employing a sensitizing screen having a great number of fine apertures, made in a drum shape, and a transferring means having a conductive base plate and a charge storage layer formed on the base plate. The transferring means is constructed in the form of a drum. During the process of obtaining a great number of copies from a primary electrostatic latent image which has been stored on the sensitizing means, a secondary electrostatic latent image is formed and regenerated on the transferring means from the stored primary latent image.

  • Patent number: 4173065
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a magnetic head comprises the steps of forming between a pair of core blocks to be joined together gap holding surfaces arranged relative to a gap forming surface, in the core blocks, such that gaps formed between the gap holding surfaces, within which spacers are placed, will be wider than the gap formed between the gap forming surfaces between which there is provided a molten gap forming material forming an effective magnetic gap in the finished head having a width of about 1.mu. by slightly permeating the molten gap forming material within the core block.

  • Patent number: 4106173
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a magnetic head comprises the steps of providing a pair of core block pieces each having an abutting area and a gap defining surface which is slightly recessed relative to the abutting area, disposing the pair of core block pieces in a manner such that the gap defining surfaces are located opposite to each other and the abutting areas are held in abutment against each other, thereby defining a gap between the gap defining surfaces, placing a quantity of a gap forming material such as glass, ceramic, enamel or the like within or adjacent to the gap, heating the gap forming material to cause it to melt, cooling the core block pieces, upon completion of permeation of the gap forming material into the respective gaps, to solidify such material, thereby providing a core block, cutting and/or slicing the core block into cores of a given size, winding a coil on the individual cores, and fixedly mounting each of the cores with the coil thereon in a housing to provide a magnetic head.

  • Patent number: 4045864
Abstract: A method is provided of manufacturing magnetic heads which comprises the steps of providing a pair of core block pieces each having a gap defining surface, masking a pair of spaced areas of the gap defining surface of one core block piece, subjecting the gap defining surface of said one core block piece to etching by an ion beam or plasma sputtering, disposing the etched core block piece and the other non-etched core block piece in abutting relationship so that the respective gap defining surfaces are located opposite to each other, placing a gap forming material in a clearance formed between the gap defining surfaces of the both core block pieces as a result of the etching step applied to one of the gap defining surfaces, causing the gap forming material to melt and permeate into the clearance, and subsequently causing the gap forming material to solidify to provide a core block, which is cut to size to produce a core or cores.

  • Patent number: 4040174
Abstract: A method of manufacturing magnetic heads comprises the steps of providing a pair of core block pieces which are used to form magnetic heads, the core block pieces having gap defining surfaces formed thereon; cutting part of one of the core block pieces including the gap defining surface thereof to provide a pair of end block pieces; forming a thin film of a thickness corresponding to a desired gap length on the opposite surface of the end block pieces from the surface on which the gap defining surface is located to thereby form offset block pieces, and subsequently disposing them to either side of the remainder of said one core block piece with their lower surfaces lying on a common plane; or alternatively disposing the end block pieces on a pair of raised steps formed adjacent to the opposite sides of a stepped table, with the remainder of the one core block piece disposed on a central recess located between the steps of the table which is at a lower elevation than the steps by an amount corresponding to a d
