Abstract: The card adapter disclosed has the configuration that: all of the parts are mounted on a same surface of the circuit board in a foldable structure; the circuit board is folded until both boards face each other to insert into the card case; and the space just above the holder for a compact memory card is made up with the card case. This can realize a low profile connector for a compact memory card to provide a card adapter with CF type I compliant shape.

Abstract: A memory card adapter comprises a board, a frame for holding the board, and an elastic member. The elastic member contacts a memory card and applies pressing force to the memory card for suppressing the ejection of the memory card. The above structure prevents damage or less of the memory card during ejection of the memory card.

Abstract: A memory card adaptor card which adapts a memory card compliant with a first standard to a memory card slot compliant with a second standard different from the first standard for electrical connection therebetween. The adaptor card includes a grounding connection mechanism for electrically connecting a grounding contact of the memory card to a grounding circuit of the memory card slot. The grounding connection mechanism includes, for example, a contact spring piece which is to be brought into resilient contact with a contact portion of the memory card and a conductive cover of the adaptor card.

Abstract: An IC memory card having an improved battery engaging member for holding a batter holder is provided. The IC memory card includes a casing having a space for holding a batter holder. A resilient engaging member on the side of the battery holder configured to engage the casing is provided. An engagement releasing member in the casing is configured to push the resilient engaging member so that the battery holder can be removed from the casing.
