Patent number: 11927569Abstract: Ultrasonic flaw detection uses a phased-array ultrasonic-flaw-detection probe. The flaw detection probe is placed such that the center of curvature of the flaw detection probe coincides with a reference center of curvature of a subject. The flaw detection probe is translated along a scan direction. The flaw detection probe emits an ultrasonic beam such that the position upon which the ultrasonic beam converges coincides with the center of curvature of the curve of the outline of the cross section of the subject at the scan position, receives the resulting reflected beam, and estimates the length of a flaw in the circumferential direction of the subject. In addition, the estimated length of the flaw is corrected using a correction coefficient corresponding to the distance between the center of curvature of the reference scan position and the center of curvature of the scan position in the thickness direction of the subject.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2020Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES, LTD.Inventors: Hiroshi Takemoto, Mitsuyoshi Uematsu, Seiji Kobayashi, Takahito Shimomukai, Naoya Iwata

Publication number: 20240045372Abstract: An imaging system includes a housing, a developer roller that transfers developer to an image carrier at a development region, a developer regulator to limit a thickness of the developer carried on the developer roller, and an air passage that extends outside a development chamber. The air passage has an inlet to draw an airflow, and an outlet located between the developer regulator and the development region. The air passage has a cross section orthogonal to a direction of the airflow from the inlet to the outlet. In the cross section taken at the narrowest position where the air passage is the narrowest, a width in a width direction parallel to a rotational axis of the developer roller is greater than a thickness that is perpendicular to the width direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2020Publication date: February 8, 2024Inventors: Tadao MORI, Naoya IWATA, Satoshi MURAMATSU

Publication number: 20230144479Abstract: Two or more target points different in amplitude in a natural mode, which exist in a housing of an object to be damped such as an engine, a gearbox, motors, or the like are located. Among these target points, an arm is fixed at a position relatively small in amplitude, and a vibration absorber provided at the free end of the arm is pressed against a position (relatively large in amplitude. When vibrations occur in the object, the vibration absorber holds the target point relatively large in amplitude while the arm is following the vibrations of the target.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 27, 2021Publication date: May 11, 2023Applicant: NOK CORPORATIONInventors: Yutaka ORIOKU, Naoya IWATA
