  • Patent number: 11232197
Abstract: In a storage system including an FPGA having a logic which executes a prescribed processing and a plurality of devices coupled to the FPGA via a bus, the logic of the FPGA is configured to: attempt to access the plurality of devices and, based on a status of access to the devices, determine whether or not there is an abnormality in the access to the devices; and when it is determined that there is an abnormality in the access to a device, reset an IF unit for performing a communication processing via a bus of the device.

  • Patent number: 10909007
Abstract: Provided are a storage system and a storage control method wherein, when communication is disabled (communication via a data communication path is disabled) in spite of replacement of a second CTL among a first CTL and the second CTL that are redundant storage controllers and that are coupled via the data communication path, the first CTL executes a write process of writing dirty data and data management information to one or more storage devices while maintaining acceptance of I/O requests from a host. The replaced second CTL reads the data management information from the one or more storage devices. The first CTL stops accepting I/O requests from the host. The replaced second CTL starts accepting I/O requests from the host.

  • Publication number: 20200327091
Abstract: A device communication control module, which performs I/O conversion for accessing a PCIe device connected to a different PCIe domain from a PCIe domain to which a CPU belongs, includes a device management table that holds a CFG address and an MMIO address corresponding to each PCIe device, and a virtual device corresponding to each PCIe device. When the CPU issues CFG access to the virtual device, the device communication control module returns an MMIO address corresponding to each PCIe device to the CPU based on information about the CFG access.

  • Publication number: 20190121561
Abstract: A plurality of controllers continuously perform by degenerating communication between the controllers by using a portion of the controller communication path even when it is determined that one controller among the plurality of controllers is to be blocked, while, when it is determined as a result of the block determination that the one controller is to be blocked but the block determination is erroneous, the new controller is synchronized to the reinstalled one controller by using the most recent system control information which was last synchronized, in response to the new controller being installed in place of the one controller.

  • Patent number: 5908188
Abstract: In an apparatus for feeding an original document, the time which is needed until the first original document is transported onto a transportation path after storing original documents is shortened. The original documents stacked on an original document supporting plate are successively supplied one by one in order from an uppermost original document. A discharged original document is steadily and easily inserted between the original document supporting plate and the original documents stacked on the original document supporting plate. When a hopper sensor detects that the original documents are stacked on the original document supporting plate, the original document supporting plate is moved upward until the upper surface of the uppermost one of the original documents contact a level sensor. At this stage, the original documents are supplied successively one by one from the uppermost original document by a paper feeding mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5497984
Abstract: A sheet post-processing apparatus is provided with a discharge tray which can be selectively moved between a processing mode position corresponding to a processing mode and a non-processing mode position corresponding to a non-processing mode. The apparatus is also provided with a control device which controls a tray drive unit which drives so as to set the discharge tray in the processing mode position when the processing mode is selected, while in the non-processing mode position when the non-processing mode is selected. The apparatus offers an improved discharging efficiency of processed sheets from a processing tray to the discharge tray in the processing mode and an improved aligning facility of sheets discharged on the discharge tray in the non-processing mode.

  • Patent number: 5478061
Abstract: A sheet post-processing apparatus is arranged such that in the non-staple mode, the leading edges of the sheets transported from the transport rollers are directed so as to be sandwiched between the upper and lower discharge rollers by a movable sheet guide in a non-staple mode position and the sheets are discharged onto a stacking tray through the upper and lower discharge rollers. In the staple mode, the leading edges of the sheets is directed to a discharge opening formed between the upper discharge roller and the movable sheet guide by the movable sheet guide in the staple mode position so as to be dropped onto the staple tray. After being processed by the stapler, the sheets are pushed by a pushing member through the discharge opening onto the stacking tray.

  • Patent number: 5407188
Abstract: A classifying tray apparatus is provided with a plurality of sheet end receiving rollers for arranging each rear end portion of the sheets stacked on a sheet discharge tray. Each sheet end receiving roller stands rotatably on a main body of the classifying tray apparatus so as to rotate, in accordance with the horizontal movement of the sheet discharge tray in a direction perpendicular to a discharge direction, while being in contact with the sheets stacked on the sheet discharge tray or with the sheet discharge tray, thereby avoiding the unevenness of the sheets stacked on the sheet discharge tray.
