Abstract: The invention relates to a device for conveying travelable bodies which are provided no driving source, on a fixed path. A plurality of travelable bodies can travel on the fixed path while aligned substantially in close contact with each other. Traveling power is transmitted to one of a plurality of travelable bodies which is positioned on at least one end of the alignment. The traveling power drives the travelable body with frictional force while pressing one side surface of the travelable body, and is transmitted to the travelable body while backing up the other side surface of the travelable body. A device to transmit traveling power is arranged on only a part of the fixed path.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of testing internal combustion engines. First testing units for internal combustion engines are provided at a plurality of peripheral locations on a turntable, and a testing chamber having a second testing unit is provided at one side of a carrying-out path running from the turntable. Each internal combustion engine is first warmed up by one of the first testing units on the turntable and thereafter it is subjected to adjustment in operating conditions. Subsequently, the internal combustion engine is delivered to the second testing unit in the testing chamber in which abnormal noise and vibration measurement and collection of data during engine operation are made.

Abstract: A monorail conveyor system in which an automotive cart comprising a drive wheel, a drive motor for driving the drive wheel, a gear case where output of the driving motor is reduced, and centering rollers rotatable on vertical axes, receives electric currents and control signals from a hollow rail and travels along the hollow rail. The driving motor has an output shaft extending in the forward-rearward direction of travel.
