  • Patent number: 10759182
Abstract: A liquid ejection apparatus includes an ejection port ejecting a liquid, a pressure chamber storing the liquid, an element generating energy for ejecting the liquid in the pressure chamber, first and second tanks which can store the liquid, a flow passage establishing communication between the first and second tanks through the pressure chamber, a switching unit switching a flowing direction of the liquid in the flow passage between a first direction from the first tank to the second tank and a second direction being opposite to the first direction, and a pressure compensation unit. When a pressure in a downstream side flow passage portion downstream of the pressure chamber has a predetermined pressure or below, the pressure compensation unit compensates for reduction in pressure in the downstream side flow passage portion by supplying the liquid to the downstream side flow passage portion.

  • Publication number: 20200249705
Abstract: A pressure control unit includes a liquid storage chamber, an inflow port that allows the liquid to flow therein, and an outflow port that allows the liquid to flow out thereof, the pressure control unit controlling pressure of the liquid, wherein at least part of an outer wall of the liquid storage chamber is formed of a flexible film, a pressing plate that presses the flexible film, an urging member that urges the pressing plate, and a valve that opens and closes the outflow port. The pressing plate moves in a direction of expanding the liquid storage chamber, whereby the valve in contact with the pressing plate moves and makes a valve opening degree of the outflow port high. A range of motion of the valve when making the valve opening degree of the outflow port high is limited by a member other than the pressing plate.

  • Patent number: 10583662
Abstract: Ink is supplied to a print head through a pressure compensation mechanism and a common collection flow path in a case where a predetermined differential pressure or higher between a pressure in a common supply flow path of the print head and a pressure in a common collection flow path of the print head is generated. As a result, liquid refillability for the liquid ejection head is improved while retaining a liquid circulating function in the liquid ejection head so as to stabilize a liquid ejecting state in the liquid ejection head.
