The seal slider may be configured to slidably engage and retract the slider face with respect to the rotor face. The seal assembly may further include a secondary seal disposed between the seal slider and the seal stator. The secondary seal may be configured to compress and rebound and/or to expand and rebound, over at least a portion of a range of motion of the seal slider.

    Abstract: Failover of a Docker container between nodes of a cluster is orchestrated to enable the Docker container's data to be made available across all nodes of the cluster. Using this orchestration system, if a second cluster node is selected to be used to bring up a Docker container, the orchestration system coordinates destroying the previous Docker volumes on the first cluster node, unmounting a physical device containing the application data from the first cluster node's virtual filesystem, remounting the physical device containing the application data in the virtual filesystem of the second cluster node, creating a Docker volume referencing the application data on the second cluster node, and using the Docker volume to start a new instance of the Docker container on the second cluster node. This enables the Docker container to be started on any node of a cluster and have the application data available as a local filesystem.

The method also includes retrieving, at the first deployment, share grant metadata from the share object of the first deployment, wherein the share grant metadata includes a reference to the database object and allows the first account to use the database object. The method also includes transmitting a message comprising the share grant metadata to the replica in the second deployment. The share grant metadata in the replica allows a second account to use the database object replicated in the second deployment.

    Abstract: Template based automatic recovery of virtual machine guest operating systems is provided, that is configured to execute recovery operations within a virtual machine in response to generation of dial-home messages. The error recovery operations, in some embodiments, are based on error recovery templates that specify dial-home event specific sequences of diagnostic operations and actions to be taken to attempt to recover from the errors that cause the dial-home events. By enabling the virtual machine to internally recover automatically from at least a subset of dial-home errors, it is possible to greatly reduce the support cost associated with providing support services for maintaining operation of storage systems. Additionally, enabling automatic recovery of particular errors can reduce the amount of time the storage system or particular aspects of the storage system are inoperable, thus increasing the reliability of the storage system.

    Abstract: An Ethernet switch and a switch microcontroller or CPU are integrated onto a system-on-a-chip (SoC). The Ethernet switch remains independently operating at full speed even though the remainder of the SoC is being reset or is otherwise nonoperational. The Ethernet switch is on a separated power and clock domain from the remainder of the integrated SoC. A warm reset signal is trapped by control microcontroller (MCU) to allow the switch CPU to isolate the Ethernet switch and save state. When the Ethernet switch is isolated and operating independently, the warm reset request is provided to the other entities on the integrated SoC. When warm reset is completed, the state is restored and the various DMA and flow settings redeveloped in the integrated SoC to allow return to normal operating condition.

A method and system for optimal deployment of embeddings tables across heterogeneous memory architecture for high-speed recommendations inference is disclosed, which dynamically partitions and organizes embedding tables across fast memory architectures to reduce access time. Partitions are chosen to take advantage of the past access patterns of those tables to ensure that frequently accessed data is available in the fast memory most of the time. Partition and replication is used to co-optimize memory access time and resources.
