    Abstract: A vacuum insulated appliance includes a cabinet with a wrapper, a liner, and a vacuum insulated cavity defined between the wrapper and the liner. A pair of tap plate assemblies are coupled to the wrapper. The pair of tap plate assemblies each include a base, a tap plate with a first section slidably coupled to the base, and a second section perpendicular to the first section, where the second section is coupled to external cabinetry. Fasteners protrude outward from side panels of the wrapper. A pair of side trim pieces are coupled to the side panels. Each side trim piece defines trim apertures that permit extension of the fasteners through the trim apertures. The fasteners engage with the pair of side trim pieces, coupling the pair of side trim pieces to the side panels.
