  • Patent number: 11959421
Abstract: An air turbine starter with a housing; a turbine member located within the housing; a drive shaft operably coupled to the turbine member, and having an interior portion. The air turbine starter output shaft extending between a first end and a second end, the output shaft movable between a first position, where the first end is coupled to the engine, and a second position, where the second end is retained within the interior portion and the first end is uncoupled from the engine. A decoupler assembly is included for decoupling the output shaft from the engine.

  • Patent number: 8355785
Abstract: An implantable pulse generator is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the implantable pulse generator includes a housing, a feedthru, and a header. The housing includes an electronic component housed within the housing. The feedthru is mounted on the housing and includes an electrical insulator and a lead connector block. The electrical insulator includes a header face and a housing face opposite the header face. The lead connector block extends from the header face of the electrical insulator. The housing face faces in the general direction of the electronic component. The lead connector block is in electrical communication with the electronic component. The header includes an electrically insulative barrier and an outer covering. The electrically insulative barrier includes a feedthru face and a cavity. The feedthru face abuts the header face and the lead connector block resides in the cavity. The outer covering extends over the electrically insulative barrier.

  • Patent number: 7697989
Abstract: A connector assembly includes a conductive collet spring with an annular base and integral circumferentially spaced cantilevered generally parallel arms terminating at tip members diametrically spaced closer than the diameter of the base. A conductive housing overlying and electrically and mechanically engaged with the collet spring engageably receives the electrical terminal of a medical stimulating device and includes a distal mounting flange. A non-conductive barrel is fittingly attached to the distal mounting flange of the housing and has an inner bore for receiving a medical electrical lead. A non-conductive header encapsulates the connector assembly, is mounted on the casing, and has a header bore aligned with the inner bore for receiving the medical electrical lead which, when inserted and sufficiently advanced through the header bore, the inner bore, and the annular base, the tip members firmly engage the proximal terminal pin thereof.

  • Publication number: 20100016909
Abstract: In one embodiment, an ICD is provided which includes a case having a connector block and a conductor post integrally formed with the connector block and extending through a dielectric feedthrough extending through the case. A capacitor is located within the dielectric. In some embodiments, the conductor post is a straight conductor post extending from a side of the connector block facing the feedthrough directly toward the feedthrough. The conductor post and the connector block may be formed of the same material, such as titanium. In some embodiments, a plurality of straight conductor posts and connector blocks are integrally formed. In some embodiments, the dielectric may be a single matrix dielectric, such that each of the straight conductor posts extends through the single matrix dielectric. In other embodiments, each of the straight conductor posts extends through a separate dielectric portion.

  • Patent number: 7402076
Abstract: A connector assembly for an implantable medical device includes a support body having a receptacle connector extending therefrom. The receptacle connector is configured to receive a lead therein, and the support body has a fastener bore. The connector assembly also includes clamp having a clamp fastener bore, wherein the clamp is movable with respect to the support body to receive the lead between the clamp and the support body. A threaded fastener is received in the fastener bore and the clamp fastener bore for securing the clamp to the support body. The threaded fastener has first and second sets of threads for engaging first and second threaded portions, respectively, wherein the first and second threaded portions are included in at least one of the fastener bore and the clamp fastener bore. The first and second sets of threads have different thread types.
