  • Publication number: 20040170460
Abstract: There is provided a device associative management system which is preferable for reducing cost and time and improving reliability. A network printer 200 can be set to a server printer 200 or a client printer 200. When the network printer 200 itself is the client printer 200, the network printer 200 sends status information in a status information registration table 560 to the server printer 200. In the case in which the network printer 200 itself is the server printer 200, when the status information is received, the network printer stores or registers the received status information in a status information registration table.

  • Publication number: 20040150801
Abstract: The present invention provides a monitor system for a projection apparatus which system is suitable for detecting errors in a display on a projection screen. A projection apparatus 100 comprises a projection section 120 that projects an image on a screen 110, an image pickup element 130 into which the actual projected image projected by the projection section 120 is loaded, an error detection section 140 that detects errors in the projection section 120 on the basis of the actual projected image loaded into the image pickup element 130, and a notification section 150 that carries out a predetermined notification when the error detection section 140 detects an error. The error detection section 140 detects errors in the projection section 120 on the basis of an original projected image to be projected by the projection section 120 and an actual projected image loaded into the image pickup element 130.

  • Publication number: 20020114626
Abstract: To provide a service providing system which allows the user to easily receive service, which allows the user to receive not only information providing service but a variety of service, and which can flexibly handle a change in condition. A virtual-object management apparatus 100 associates object information related to the shape and the location of a virtual object with service information and stores them, and sends the object information and the service information stored in a virtual-object management DB 42 to a digital camera 300 in response to a transmission request sent from the digital camera 300. When the digital camera 300 determines from the obtained location information and the received object information that the digital camera 300 is disposed in the inside area of the virtual object identified by the shape and location of the virtual object, it executes an action corresponding to the virtual object, according to the received service information.

  • Publication number: 20020115451
Abstract: To provide a data output system which can control a printer in accordance with the position of a user without providing a mobile terminal and the printer with special devices, which can reduce the processing load on the mobile terminal, which can ensure the convenience of the user when using the printer, and which avoids inconvenience as a result of incorrect settings by the user. A print control terminal 100 obtains mobile terminal position information from a relay station 220. When the distance between the mobile terminal position specified by the obtained mobile terminal position information and the printer position specified by printer position information from a storage device 42 is less than a predetermined value A, a print command and corresponding print data are transmitted to a printer PR in response to a request from a mobile terminal 200.
