Abstract: A space configuration of a house is provided, in which the continuity from the inside of a room to a semi-outdoor space is created in various directions to give a feeling of openness in a large area inside of the room. Windows capable of daylighting and ventilation are provided respectively in two wall surfaces of a room so as to each have an opening width accounting for ½ or more of a corresponding wall length of the wall surfaces. One window has an opening that accounts for a whole ceiling height of the room, and a doorway is provided in the opening. On the outside of the one window, a semi-outdoor space including an exterior floor and an eaves ceiling is largely extended.

Abstract: In a house having a standard two-story building height, an inner living space is provided, which gives a feeling of spaciousness and openness. A house includes: a first floor; a second floor; a higher second floor as a skip floor positioned substantially a half story higher than the second floor and being led from the second floor; and a gable roof provided above these floors. The higher second floor is provided along a gable end wall of the gable roof on at least one side to spread across a full width of the gable end wall. An upper area of the higher second floor is integrated with an attic space under the gable roof.

Abstract: A representative roof frame structure incorporates: paired wood sloping beams respectively extending from a ridge portion toward eaves on opposite sides from each other; a hanging portion hanging vertically downward from the ridge portion; and two steel braces respectively installed between lower faces of the sloping beams and side faces of a lower end of the hanging portion, wherein one end of each of the steel braces is pin-jointed to a beam-side fixing portion protruding from the lower face of the sloping beam, and the other end of each of the steel braces is pin-jointed to a hanging-portion-side fixing portion protruding from the side face of the lower end of the hanging portion.
