Patent number: 7276099Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an electric vacuum cleaner equipped with a compact and easy-to-operate cyclonic separation type dust collector. To accomplish the object, the present invention mounts a cyclonic separation cylinder (104) that centrifugally separates and captures dust and a dust collecting case (105) that contains a first auxiliary filter (106) detachably on the lower case (101) of the cleaner body (1) and part of air from the cyclonic separation cylinder (104) is fed to the motor-driven blower through the dust collecting case (105). The present invention mounts a cyclonic separation cylinder (104) that centrifugally separates and captures dust and a dust collecting case (105) that contains a first auxiliary filter (106) detachably on the lower case (101) of the cleaner body (1) and part of air from the cyclonic separation cylinder (104) is fed to the motor-driven blower through the dust collecting case (105) and a filter provided under it.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2006Date of Patent: October 2, 2007Assignee: Hitachi Home & Life Solutions, Inc.Inventors: Shoji Hayashi, Yukiji Iwase, Yasuyuki Hiruta, Kyouichi Kanno, Susumu Sato, Naofumi Kitagawa, Naruhiko Suzuki, Yasunori Kotaka, Hirofumi Tanaka, Koichi Umezawa

Patent number: 7207083Abstract: The electric vacuum cleaner is disclosed which includes a main body within which an electric blower and cyclonic separation cylinder are provided. A dust collecting case is provided in communication with the cyclonic separation cylinder to receive dust that has been separated from the inlet tube. The dust collecting case also includes a lifter arranged therein. Air received from the inlet tube is separated such that a portion is passed through the dust collecting case and a communicating passage. The air is subsequently merged and discharge through the electric blower.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2003Date of Patent: April 24, 2007Assignee: Hitachi Home & Life Solutions, Inc.Inventors: Shoji Hayashi, Yukiji Iwase, Yasuyuki Hiruta, Kyouichi Kanno, Susumu Sato, Naofumi Kitagawa, Naruhiko Suzuki, Yasunori Kotaka, Hirofumi Tanaka, Koichi Umezawa

Patent number: 5216778Abstract: An electric vacuum cleaner having a body, suction generating means and a dust collection space in said body, and a rotatable hose inlet for receiving a suction hose and connecting the hose to the dust collection space. The suction hose has at one end a coupling engageable with said hose inlet. An electrical power supply cord socket is arranged to receive a plug of a power supply cord for a powered accessory of the vacuum cleaner. To avoid twisting of the cord around the hose, the cord socket is located on the hose coupling.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 1992Date of Patent: June 8, 1993Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Naruhiko Suzuki, Akira Iwao, Yoshitaro Ishii, Masao Sunagawa, Yasuyuki Hiruta

Patent number: 5042844Abstract: A hose fixture device has a cylindrical wall with projections thereon, which projections engage a corresponding mounting projection of a hose. Normally that mounting projection is a helix, so that there is a screw engagement. The projections are arranged circumferentially around the cylindrical wall with gaps therebetween. There are also gripper members, again spaced circumferentially with gaps therebetween, which grip an end of the hose. The gaps make is easy to see such engagement. The gripper members are aligned with the gaps between those projections. This provides a secure fixing of the hose to the hose fixture device. Furthermore, the device may be moulded easily. Such a hose fixture device may be used to attache a hose joint component (e.g. a suction tool) to a hose of an electric vacuum cleaner.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 1989Date of Patent: August 27, 1991Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Tagasangyo, Ltd.Inventors: Akira Iida, Akira Iwao, Yoshitaro Ishii, Naruhiko Suzuki, Yasuyuki Hiruta
