  • Patent number: 7033033
Abstract: In order to eliminate use of assembling equipment for assembling a holding member to a supporting member, a mirror device for a vehicle, having the holding member which holds a mirror and the supporting member which is connected to a vehicle body and assembled with the holding member, comprising an engage-member provided in one of the holding member or the supporting member, the engage-member having elasticity in a first direction and having rigidity in a second direction, and an engagement claw provided in the other of the holding member and the supporting member, the engagement claw having a protruding portion, wherein the holding member is assembled to the supporting member by the protruding portion of the engagement claw being engaged with the engage-member in the second direction due to that the protruding portion causes the engage-member to elastically deform in the first direction, and passes over the engage-member, is provided.

  • Patent number: 6923547
Abstract: In a door mirror device for a vehicle, a first helical gear and a second worm gear are rotated integrally by a first worm gear. In this way, the second worm gear is rotated around a second helical gear, and a mirror is retracted or extended. The first helical gear and the second worm gear can tilt. Rotating central shafts thereof are supported at both ends by first bearings and second bearings, respectively. Even if load is applied from the first worm gear or the second helical gear to the first helical gear or the second worm gear, it is possible to suppress integral tilting of the first helical gear and the second worm gear. Accordingly, when the mirror is retracted and when the mirror is extended, it is possible to suppress a change in a sound of operation and to make the sound of operation uniform.

  • Patent number: 6712329
Abstract: At the time of assembling a door mirror device for a vehicle, a visor rim is assembled, by an elastic hook, a rigid hook and a contact portion, to a frame to which a retracting mechanism and a mirror surface adjusting mechanism are mounted. Then, by fitting together an engaging hook, a projecting hook, and peripheral edges of a visor cover and the visor rim, the visor rim and the visor cover are assembled.

  • Patent number: 6637902
Abstract: A mirror angle adjustment mechanism assembled by engaging latching members of a support pivot, which have been in the state inserted through openings provided in a second hemisphere portion of a mirror holder inner, with a case pivot. A plurality of elastic plates on the support pivot are compressed against the second hemisphere portion such that the second hemisphere portion is held between the plurality of elastic plates and a first hemisphere portion provided at the case pivot. Since this mirror angle adjustment mechanism requires only three parts, the case pivot, the mirror holder inner and the support pivot, the number of parts can be reduced and ease-of-assembly can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6583919
Abstract: An electrochromic anti-glare mirror is provided in which incorrect assembly can be prevented, assemblability can be improved, a number of work processes can be reduced, and costs can be reduced. The electrochromic anti-glare mirror includes an electrochromic layer which is provided at a rear surface side of a substrate glass, and in which an electrochromic film is nipped between a transparent conductive film and a reflective conductive film. By energizing the electrochromic film between the transparent conductive film and reflective conductive film, the electrochromic film is electrically made to color. Wires for electrochromic anti-glare for energizing the electrochromic film between the transparent conductive film and the reflective conductive film are printed on the printed circuit board. As a result, there is no need for complex work for installing and connecting cords as in conventional structures in which wires are cords.

  • Patent number: 4932283
Abstract: A locking apparatus for a shift lever provided for operating an automatic transmission, where if the shift lever is not located in a non-driving position such as a "P" range, a key rotor cannot be rotated to a lock position and, if the key rotor is not rotated from the lock position to an operating position, the shift lever cannot be moved from the non-driving position. An extension is interlocked with a detent pin which serves to hold the shift lever in the non-driving position. The extension is arranged to move along the axis of the key rotor in interlocked relationship with the movement of the detent pin and to move into and away from the locus of movement of a lock portion which is rotated together with the key rotor. When the extension is moved into the locus, the extension inhibits both the movement of the key rotor to the lock position and the shifting of the shift lever from the non-driving position to another position.
