  • Patent number: 12270559
Abstract: System to control a temperature of a zone in an HVAC controlled space is provide. This system provides a comfort temperature at the location of the user without heating or cooling of the whole space. Therefore, this system can save significant energy by not condition the unwanted zones in a space. The system comprises of a smart air panel installed in the space that has a set of moving louvers, a smart thermostat that controls operation of the HVAC system, a portable tag placed in the zone to measure the zonal temperature and communicate it with the smart air panel and the smart thermostat. A processor is configured to find the location of the tag in the zone and direct the air flow towards that zone. The portable tag sends the zonal temperature to the smart thermostat, which controls the operation of the HVAC system, turning it ON and OFF based on the zonal temperature.

  • Patent number: 12245918
Abstract: A negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) bandage is disclosed, comprising a bottom layer with a wound-contacting section and an adhesive section to secure to surrounding skin. The contacting section has apertures or an open area to allow fluid flow from the wound into the bandage. The top layer features deformable hollow domes made of resilient material and a central cavity above the wound. Integrated one-way valves direct fluid from the central cavity through the domes and out to the atmosphere, preventing reverse flow. By manually compressing the domes, a vacuum is created over the wound to facilitate NPWT. The domes automatically return to their original shape when the pressure falls below a predetermined threshold, promoting healing by maintaining negative pressure over the wound.

  • Publication number: 20240402067
Abstract: There is provided a system, method, and lighting module for fast-moving particle characterization. The lighting module can include a light source directed at the particles to generate a light beam of incoherent or semi-coherent light; and a pulse generator connected to the light source to direct the light source to generate the light beam when in receipt of a trigger signal, the pulse including a time period on a nanosecond scale. In some cases, the light beam can be conditioned with optical elements into a homogeneous flat-top profile. In some cases, the trigger signal is generated by a camera module, which is passed through a synchronization board to compensate for any noise.

  • Patent number: 12138136
Abstract: An electric toothbrush comprises a brush head, a motor for providing oscillating rotation, and a multi-directional movement mechanism connected to the brush head to offer a plurality of movements. The movement mechanism includes a first mechanism for converting the motor's rotation into an oscillating rotation, a second mechanism for an oscillating side-to-side movement, and a third mechanism for an oscillating back-and-forth movement. Additionally, a gear system is employed, featuring a main gear with arc teeth on its outer perimeter and a set of equally spaced driven gears. The main gear engages with the driven gears individually, each configured to provide one of the plurality of movements. A control system facilitates the selection of movements and on/off functionality, while a power system supplies necessary power. Encased within an ergonomic waterproof shell, the electric toothbrush ensures protection and comfortable handling.

  • Patent number: 11925320
Abstract: An oral camera that can view a panoramic view of all teeth in a jaw, including the front and back surfaces of teeth, as well as their top surfaces. The oral camera comprises a mouthpiece that is placed in the mouth. The mouthpiece has an inner and outer part that have mirrored surfaces. The inner and outer parts are tilted to reflect the images of the inner and outer surfaces of teeth toward an outside viewer or a camera. • Patent number: 11298472
Abstract: An ultrasonic nebulizer is provided that has a liquid chamber to receive a liquid. A piezoceramic transducer is attached to one end of the liquid chamber. The piezoceramic has an orifice to allow the liquid inside the chamber to exit. A plunger movably and sealbly is inserted into the liquid chamber from its other end, which is moved by a moving mechanism to push the liquid out of the liquid chamber. The plunger forms a small liquid droplet on the surface of the piezoceramic. Oscillation of the piezoceramic at megahertz frequencies results in atomization and formation of small droplets from the surface of the sessile droplet. The present nebulizer is a total consumption nebulizer, since all its droplets are substantially within 2 to 5 microns, which is the size range to penetrate into the lunges of a user.

  • Patent number: 8988681
Abstract: A spray sizer is provided that can measure the average droplet size in a spray. The spray sizer first separates a section of the spray for measurement. This section of the spray is passed through an optical droplet counter and the number of the droplets is measured while the droplets are collected after counting. The volume of the collected droplets is determined and it is divided by the total number of the droplets. This provides and average droplet diameter for the spray.

  • Patent number: 4667877
Abstract: A spray generator comprises a reservoir with a piezoelectric crystal affixed to its bottom surface and vertical tubes opening out of its top surface, each tube having an orifice at its tip. Spray liquid collecting around the orifices drains off without obstructing them. In another embodiment a gas chamber is superimposed on the reservoir, so that the tubes extend through the gas chamber and above it. The upper surface of the gas chamber is perforated so that gas can escape therefrom.
