  • Publication number: 20140214464
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for monitoring and analyzing utility consumption according to various aspects of the present technology generally comprise collecting and storing utility consumption information, processing utility consumption information, and outputting the processed utility consumption information. Utility consumption may be collected by one or more monitoring devices, and may comprise the use of one or more utilities and/or power sources, the use of energy sources used to power equipment, the generation of one or more utilities, energy, and/or power, a detected and/or measured environmental condition, and/or any other measurable quantity and/or detectable state relating to the environment the monitoring device is configured to operate in or observe. Processing and outputting utility consumption information may present utility consumption information in an easily-understandable and navigable manner.

  • Publication number: 20140032506
Abstract: Systems and methods for time series data error detection, correction, and transformation may detect gaps and anomalies in time series data, such as from a meter device, and may correct the gaps and adjust the anomalies prior to long-term record storage. Data forecasting may be used to correct the errors in the time series data. The error corrected data may be regarded as an actual set of time series data and become a base data set against which additional heuristic projections are generated. In addition, the time series data may be transformed into any number of physical and virtual device hierarchies that represent the underlying data source configurations, and may then be stored in an analytical database for further analysis. The hierarchies may be irregular and may change over time.
