  • Publication number: 20240129734
Abstract: A description is therefore provided of technologies enhancing interoperability of devices located in a proximity from each other, with the goal of improving service performance, convenience and security. Interoperability between a wearable device on a user's hand and a door or a mobile phone results in improved security as well as convenience of use. Interoperability between mobile devices and a computer device embedded in a car, results in a convenient and secure lock. Interoperability between mobile devices and nearby devices belonging to different users, able to provide local computational power, results in lowering of bandwidth requirements for data transfer, by means of performing computations on the data being collected locally, as opposed to it being done on a remote server.

  • Patent number: 9955286
Abstract: The invention addresses a novel system and devices for remote control of wearable computers. In one embodiment the remote control is incorporated in a piece clothing or jewelry, for example a ring, a bracelet, a watch. In another embodiment, it is part of a user's mobile device. The system comprises hardware, accompanied by software running on two or more devices, and allowing for device interoperability over a wireless connection, e.g., Bluetooth. The invention further comprises novel software systems which improve usability of remote control devices disclosed herein and in other patent documents. The invention also presents solutions for combining software and device markets which are continuously introducing new products and more complex software systems.

  • Publication number: 20170276500
Abstract: Technologies are generally described to coordinate group members that may be at distinct locations and optionally moving in distinct directions to meet at a coordinated meeting point and/or to move in a common direction. A coordinated meeting point may optimize a parameter of interest for each of the group members or group as a whole. Example parameters may include distance, time, fuel usage, remaining resource levels, a network coverage, and group members' patience, mood, and/or tiredness factors. In some examples, a controller may determine the meeting point that minimizes a parameter of interest for the group members or whole group, where the meeting point may be stationary or dynamic. The controller may map the calculated meeting point to a geographical location, and may determine an optimal or preferred route from each group member to the meeting point to gather the group members together optimizing for a particular parameter of interest.

  • Publication number: 20160342968
Abstract: Technologies are generally described that relate to managing and/or generating incentive data. An example method may include receiving a set of activity data associated with an entity. The method may also include generating incentive data for the entity based on a determination that an activity selected from the set of activity data is to be performed with respect to a target object and satisfies a rule of a set of rules associated with the target object, where the generating the incentive data is independent of a point of sale purchase of the target object.

  • Patent number: 8754904
Abstract: Vertical synchronization (v-sync) in prior art prevents video tearing artifacts by keeping the video pipeline synchronized with the monitor. Such technique keeps the frame rate of the rendering engine equal to monitor's refresh rate. However, it suffers from two substantial shortcomings: performance limitations and input lag, both of which are critical in real-time applications such as video games and professional applications (e.g. 3D CAD). The different embodiments of present invention, termed virtual vertical-synchronization (Virtual v-sync), eliminate tearing artifacts, while solving the shortfall of performance by shortening or dropping undisplayed frames, and solving the input lags by removing frame blocking. Any frame rate is achievable, independently of the monitor refresh. Two additional uses of the virtual vertical-synchronization are cloud gaming improvement and power consumption control.
