    Abstract: A novel way of attaching a safety strap to a hand tool where the hand tool does not have a readily available means of connecting such a strap. In one aspect of the disclosure, a rubber sleeve is stretched over a removable core that is then placed over the hand tool and the safety strap such that the strap is between the sleeve and an anchor surface. The rubber sleeve is then released from the core, and the safety strap is held securely by the constricting rubber sleeve.
