  • Publication number: 20250202234
Abstract: A system for improving grid reliability in remote or isolated locations includes a battery tripping module, the battery tripping module determining whether a microgrid zone may be formed upon a fault. The system further includes a microgrid formation module, the microgrid formation module forming a microgrid zone, the microgrid zone connected to a BESS (battery electric storage system), the BESS providing power to the microgrid.

  • Publication number: 20250199048
Abstract: A method for locating a fault in an electric utility system includes retrieving fault data, with a computing system and analyzing relay history to find a pattern of events and locations, with the computing system. The method further includes analyzing the fault data to determine an approximate location with the computing system and determining, with a short circuit and load flow module, a pre-fault load. The method further includes running a short circuit study at a plurality of locations until a location is found that corresponds to the fault data and determining that the location is where a fault occurred.

  • Publication number: 20240168451
Abstract: A system for controlling disparate remote devices includes a control model, the control model providing a standardized interface to a user, the standardized interface providing a plurality of activities. The plurality of activities includes updating access credentials. The control module is configured to and executes commands causing the control module to communicate with a remote device, the remote device providing a remote-control interface having one or more interface types, selected from a list consisting of graphical user interface, command line interface, and menu driven interface. The control module simulates direct user interaction with the remote-control interface, translating a standardized command specifying an activity of the plurality of activities received via the standardized interface to a translated command, the translated command simulating direct user interaction with the one or more interface type.
