The subject matter of the invention is also a dressing comprising metformin, characterised in that the percentage of metformin released after 72 hours is between 40 and 100% of the quantity of metformin inserted in the dressing. Moreover, the subject matter of the invention is a method for producing said dressing as well as the use thereof for healing a wound.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a topical film-forming composition including, in a pharmaceutically acceptable medium: 5 to 30 wt % of ethyl cellulose; 0.1 to 10 wt % of an auxiliary film-forming agent; 0.1 to 20 wt % of one or more triacids, at least one of which is boric acid; and 60 to 95 wt % of an organic solvent, the percentages being expressed by weight relative to the total weight of the composition. The invention also relates to the use of such a composition in a method for treating herpes, in particular herpes labialis.

This composition comprises from 6% to 12% by weight of the total weight of the composition of a cellulose derivative, from 5% to 15% by weight of the total weight of the composition of a vegetable oil, and a volatile solvent. The oil/cellulose ratio by weight is between 0.8 and 1.5. This novel dressing base makes it possible to obtain a film on the skin having satisfactory resistances to water and to rubbing actions. The film is flexible and sufficiently comfortable, in particular when the dressing is applied to a fairly extensive area of the skin.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fluid composition containing at least a polymer, a plasticiser, a volatile solvent, and a very small amount of an organic sun filter in the order of between 0.5 and 2.2 wt.-% in relation to the total weight of the composition. The composition, which is intended to be applied to the skin, can be used to treat scars. In addition, the composition advantageously contains a derivative of dibenzoylmethane and a cinnamate derivative.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a topical film-forming composition for the treating dermatophytosis, specifically mycoses of the feet and, in particular, for treating the symptoms associated with dermatophytosis, specifically the symptoms associated with athlete's foot. The composition is particularly suitable for treating cracking, and for promoting the healing of skin lesions caused by said inflammation. The present composition is also suitable for preventing bacterial or fungal proliferation in the damaged skin.
