  • Patent number: 11830377
Abstract: Disclosed is a suturing training device and a method of using the device. The device comprises a base having a first side and a second side, the base defining a plane. The device also comprises a first anchor and a second anchor positioned on the first side of the base. The first and second anchors are each connectable to a segment of tissue so that the tissue is suspended therebetween in use of the device. An actuator is associated with one or both of the first anchor and the second anchor. The actuator is actuatable to cause relative movement of the first and second anchors along the plane. A force gauge is configured to measure a force applied to the tissue when the first and second anchors are moved relative one another by the actuator.

  • Publication number: 20210298908
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a three-dimensionally (e.g., 3D) printed, surgically implantable tissue engineering scaffolds for promoting bone, vascular, and/or cartilage regeneration at osteochondral regions and a method for manufacturing the 3D printed surgically implantable tissue engineering scaffold. The 3D printed surgically implantable tissue engineering scaffold may be fabricated at least in part from a thermoplastic polyurethane (e.g., nTPU) composite via a rapid prototyping machine. In some cases, the three-dimensional shape of the fabricated tissue engineering scaffold may correspond to a three-dimensional shape of a tissue defect of a patient.

  • Patent number: 11116994
Abstract: The invention relates to a patch (2) with at least one filler and at least one active ingredient, wherein the local distribution of the active ingredient or ingredients within the patch (2) takes place dependent on the morphology, anatomy and physiology of the lesion (1) to be treated.
