  • Publication number: 20190222966
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for multicasting traffic using multi-connectivity. A wireless network can send a downlink (DL) packet, which follows one path from a core network entity to a user equipment (UE) under current standards, to multiple base stations (BSs) and from each of the base stations to a UE. The UE receives the DL packet from whichever BS first delivers the DL packet, and then the UE sends a report reporting receipt of the DL packet back to all of the BSs. BSs that receive a report indicating the UE received the packet can drop the packet, even if they have not yet successfully delivered the packet. The same procedure can be used for an UL packet, which can be sent from a UE to multiple BSs, and from the BSs to a core network entity.

  • Patent number: 10321489
Abstract: In a wireless communication system, user equipment (UE) has autonomy provided by one or more set of rules to handle processing during a measurement gap. UE can ignore or use only a portion of the whole measurement gap if not needed. Thereby, an urgent need for remaining tuned to source carrier frequency can be supported, such as utilizing Random Access Channel (RACH) procedure. UE can also choose to tune to a target carrier frequency supporting timely handovers. Depending on the type of processing required (download shared channel (DL-SCH, UL-SCH, TTI bundling, RACH or SR), the UE may store requests and process the measurements during the gap or ignore the gap measurement as if there were no gaps.

  • Patent number: 10320794
Abstract: An electronic device that provides long-lived, but selectively ephemeral access to content is described. In particular, the electronic devices may provide secure content, which was generated based on protection information and the content, to a computer system. After receiving a share command, the electronic device may communicate, to the computer system, a unique token that is associated with a recipient in a communication network and an instruction to enable a recipient electronic device associated with the recipient to view the content. This unique token may allow the computer system to access the content in the secure content, so that the computer system has an ability to provide the content to the recipient electronic device. Moreover, after receiving an un-share command, the electronic device may temporarily or permanently disable the unique token on the computer system, so that the computer system is unable to access the content in the secure content.

  • Publication number: 20190158225
Abstract: A data transmission method and a device where during downlink data transmission, a network side device generates second information based on first information and a second identifier and sends the second information to a second device, and in the sending process, the second information passes through a first device. In the process, the second information is generated by the network side device based on the first information and the second identifier of the second device. Therefore, when the second information reaches the first device, the first device can identify the second device as a destination of the second information. Network quality of service different from that of the first device is provided to the second device by distinguishing data of the first device and data of the second device.

  • Publication number: 20190149993
Abstract: A UE indicates its capability for processing integrity-protected data for integrity protection, such as a first data throughput rate, and a gNB receives the capability of the UE for processing integrity-protected data. Processing integrity-protected data may include computing an integrity value for the integrity-protected data. The gNB determines, based on the capability of the UE, whether the UE satisfies a requirement of a second data throughput rate that is associated with a data radio bearer. The second data throughput rate is required for processing data communicated on the data radio bearer for integrity protection. The gNB establishes the data radio bearer with the UE when the capability of the UE satisfies the requirement of the second data throughput rate.
