  • Patent number: 12490688
Abstract: A concentrator nozzle attachment for a blower device is disclosed that increases the airflow velocity of the blower without sacrificing the field of the jetting air. The concentrator nozzle is formed of an outer ring with a centrally located guide surface and is placed at the exit of an air tube. As the air exits the air tube, it's forced to flow around the guide surface, thus increasing its velocity. The attachment is secured to the end of the air tube and so does not alter the outer diameter through which the air exits. In this way, air velocity is increased without reducing its effectiveness.

  • Publication number: 20250336385
Abstract: An exemplary noise reducing device for reducing the noise of sound waves propagating through a fluid includes a housing; a primary flow path within the housing configured to receive a first portion of the fluid; and at least one phase shifting flow path within the housing configured to receive a second portion of the fluid, wherein the first portion of the fluid flowing through the primary flow path produces a first sound wave, and wherein the second portion of the fluid flowing through the phase shifting flow path produces a second sound wave out of phase relative to the first sound wave at a target frequency, such that the first sound wave destructively interferes with the second sound wave to reduce noise of the first and second sound waves.

  • Publication number: 20220408663
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an outdoor blower that is capable of safely releasing any electrostatic charge that builds up in the blower. During the operation of the blower, electric charge builds up in the housing and components of the blower as particles in the air are moved through the blower. The blower includes a wire contact in the handle that is electrically connected to various other components in the blower. As electric charge is built up in the blower, it can be passed to the wire contact, which is graspable by a user, who acts as a ground and is able to release any charge that builds up.

  • Publication number: 20220134593
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a chain saw having a chain tension knob to adjust the tension of a chain. The knob is rotated to move the chain bar to increase or decrease the tension on the chain depending on the direction of rotation. The knob is positioned at a forward portion of the chainsaw housing, below the chain bar. The knob acts as a chain catcher so that in case of chain breakage or derailment, it blocks the chain from swinging rearward toward the user and reduces the likelihood of serious injury.

  • Patent number: 7645608
Abstract: A device for storing, rehydrating, transferring, and streaking a stored freeze dried specimen comprises a three piece construction including a collection vial used to store a freeze dried specimen, a capsule including a reservoir with hydrating fluid retained by a frangible membrane, and an adapter fluidly linking the capsule to the collection vial. The adapter is configured to fluidly link to the capsule to the collection vial via leak-proof couplings to create a closed system of specimen, hydrating fluid, and a small quantity of trapped air. The fluid communication between the vial and the capsule is accomplished through the adapter via an internal lumen longitudinally traversing the adapter. The adapter and capsule combination can also serve as a transfer pipette once the hydration operation is complete to withdraw the specimen from the collection vial and transfer the specimen to a petri dish or other culture medium.
