Patent number: 12619665Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, apparatus, and computer-readable storage media that support relevance-based analysis and filtering of documents and media for one or more enterprises. Aspects disclosed herein leverage custom-built taxonomies, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning (ML) for identifying and extracting features from highly-relevant documents. The extracted features are vectorized and then filtered based on entities (e.g., enterprises, organizations, individuals, etc.) and compliance-based risks (e.g., illegal or non-compliant activities) that are highly relevant to a particular client. The filtered feature vectors are used to identify and highlight relevant information in the corresponding documents, enabling decision making to resolve compliance-related risks. The aspects described herein generate fewer false positive or otherwise less relevant results than conventional document screening applications or manual techniques.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2021Date of Patent: May 5, 2026Assignee: Thomson Reuters Enterprise Centre GmbHInventors: Rogelio Escalona, Xiao Xiao, Nathan Harris, Mahesh Ramachandran, Paul Cifarelli, Chad Longo, Katherine Kent, Yelena Altman Shapiro, Laura McCurdy, Andrew Petrosie, Matthew Lawrence, Joseph Santoru, Bob Rhodes, John Kennedy, Spencer Torene

Patent number: 12511022Abstract: This technology facilitates access and customizable interaction with data by providing a graphical user interface which has interactive elements each comprising a different data visualization of initial data from a platform. Each of at least a subset of the interactive elements is configured to display a visual effect when a pointer is positioned over one of the interactive elements. Receipt of an input for one of the interactive elements that is displaying the visual effect is monitored for. A window is generated and provided to overlay the one of the interactive elements when the monitoring indicates the input is received. The window is configured to present: additional data associated with the initial data; and additional interactive elements each associated with a different interactions. Execution of one of the interactions is initiated when a selection of a corresponding one of the additional elements is received and a result is provided.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2023Date of Patent: December 30, 2025Assignee: JONES LANG LASALLE IP, INC.Inventors: Nathan Harris, Joanna Sobota, Kay Tang

Publication number: 20250307260Abstract: This technology relates to intelligently generate a search query to access data. A method, computing device, and non-transitory computer readable medium include receiving a search request comprising natural language text. Then a prompt from the natural language text is extracted. A search generation machine learning model is executed to generate one or more search criteria based on the extracted prompt, wherein the search generation machine learning model is trained to learn data storage structure information of a data storage and map a prompt to one or more search criteria based on the learned data storage structure information. The data storage is searched based on the one or more search criteria to obtain a search result. The search result is displayed via a user interface as a response to the search request.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2024Publication date: October 2, 2025Inventors: Nathan HARRIS, Oliver ARAGON-ARANDA, Kay TANG, Qian HU, Hector MORENO CERVERA

Publication number: 20240150854Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems to detect a class of non-variola Orthopoxviruses, and, more particularly, monkeypox virus. In certain embodiments, the method may comprise obtaining a sample from the subject; and detecting a nucleic acid sequence specific to the non-variola Orthopoxvirus. In some embodiments, the method may further isolation of the non-variola Orthopoxvirus from a solid substrate such as a tissue swab and further purification of viral nucleic acid using silica beads. The sample may in some cases be self-collected by a subject. The disclosed methods and systems, including kits for self-collection, may be used for a high throughput assay allowing for screening of hundreds of samples per day.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2023Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Thomas Jacob Urban, Ayla Burns Harris, Jonathan David Williams, Deborah John Boles, Timothy Staton, Nathan Harris, Phyllis Davis, Suzanne Dale

Patent number: 11756445Abstract: A system and method is configured to determine an initial assessment score for an initial curriculum activity for a learner. A query identifying, within a data logic or at least one database record, a lower threshold value is executed. Responsive to determining that the initial assessment score is less than the lower threshold value, a query is executed identifying a remediation curriculum activity associated with the initial curriculum activity and a first graphical user interface is encoded including an identification of the learner and a first user interface element configured to cause the server hardware computing device to modify a lesson plan of the learner to include the remediation curriculum activity. The first graphical user interface is transmitted to a client hardware computing device for display.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2018Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignee: PEARSON EDUCATION, INC.Inventors: Nathan Harris, Eleonora Pessina
