Publication number: 20240068971Abstract: A method for quantifying amounts of per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) may use a PFAS detection system comprising a working electrode and one or more processors. The working electrode may have a polymer layer disposed on its surface that comprises a plurality of affinity sites for detecting a plurality of PFAS molecules. Each of the plurality affinity sites may have been created using a template PFAS. The method may comprise detecting, at the working electrode, a plurality PFAS molecules that have bonded to one or more of the plurality of affinity sites; and determining, by the one or more processors and based on the detected plurality of PFAS molecules that are bonded to the one or more affinity sites, a concentration of PFAS in an environment.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: The MITRE CorporationInventors: Jamie Amanda GROVE, Kathy T. Publication number: 20240008400Abstract: A chaff pan assembly for an agricultural vehicle includes a chaff pan that is moveable between raised and lowered positions. A stationary bracket is mounted to a fixed point on the agricultural vehicle. A linkage interconnects the chaff pan to the stationary bracket and guides movement of the chaff pan between the raised and lowered positions. A locking member is moveably connected to the stationary bracket and is moveable between a locked position, in which the locking member is engaged with one arm of the linkage to prevent movement of the one arm of the linkage, and an unlocked position, in which the locking member is disengaged from the one arm of the linkage to permit movement of the one arm of the linkage.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2022Publication date: January 11, 2024Applicant: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Gilles Mommerency, Tim Passchyn, Nathan Isaac

Publication number: 20220346313Abstract: An agricultural harvester includes a chassis, and a residue handling system that receives a chaff flow and a residue flow into a flow passageway of the chassis. The residue handling system includes a chopper, a shroud at least partially surrounding the chopper, a spreader, and a moveable door panel assembly that is configured to be moved between a chopping mode position and a bypass mode position. The moveable door panel assembly includes a top door panel that is movably mounted to the top wall of the chassis, and a bottom door panel that is moveably mounted to the shroud. In the chopping mode position, the top and bottom door panels are positioned to permit the entrance of residue flow into the chopper. In the bypass mode position, the top and bottom door panels are positioned to either limit or substantially prevent the entrance of residue flow into the chopper.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2022Publication date: November 3, 2022Inventors: Tim Passchyn, Gilles Mommerency, Nathan Isaac

Patent number: 10827674Abstract: A spreader configured for dispersing a non-grain crop material onto a field. The spreader includes a floor panel having a distal end, a pair of side deflectors pivotally connected to the floor panel, and a table slideably connected to the floor panel and slideable between a retracted position and an extended position in which at least a portion of the table is extended past the distal end of the floor panel.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2018Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Nicholas Estock, Nathan Isaac, Herbert Farley

Patent number: 10314232Abstract: A system processes seeds that are present in crop material. The system includes a first shearing surface, a second shearing surface arranged opposite the first shearing surface, and a clearance between the first shearing surface and the second shearing surface. The system passes crop material between the first and second shearing surfaces, where the crop material contacts the shearing surfaces as it passes through the shearing surfaces. Contact with the first and second shearing surfaces damages seeds that are present in the crop material. The system can be installed in an agricultural harvester to damage seeds that are present in crop residue to prevent the seeds from germinating after the crop residue is discharged from the agricultural harvester back into the field.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2017Date of Patent: June 11, 2019Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Nathan Isaac, Martin J. Roberge, Jim Henry, Mark Dilts

Patent number: 9519786Abstract: A client device includes a flash chip for storing firmware and a microcontroller for storing an image in read-only memory. The image corresponds to an accurate representation of firmware. When the client device is powered on but before the firmware is executed to boot the client device, the firmware stored on the flash chip is compared to the image. In the event that the firmware does not correspond to the image, the client device is not booted and the firmware is overwritten with the image. The client device may then be booted using the flashed firmware. To update the firmware, the client device may receive a new image from a server. The new image is stored in the read-only memory of the microcontroller. The firmware may then be re-flashed using the new image.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2013Date of Patent: December 13, 2016Assignee: Google Inc.Inventor: Nathan Isaac Laredo

Patent number: 9501431Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to enable the remote management of software that is otherwise limited to using local input/output (I/O) only. According to the method and apparatus, a microcontroller is installed on a system board of a server and configured to listen to write requests directed to a first I/O interface. When such requests are detected, data that is part of such requests is intercepted and transmitted over a second I/O interface that is different from the first I/O interface.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2013Date of Patent: November 22, 2016Assignee: Google Inc.Inventor: Nathan Isaac Laredo

Publication number: 20080058042Abstract: A rigid rotor discharge deflector apparatus for a combine, including a body member, attachable to the side wall of a discharge passage at the downstream end of the rotor, having a face portion with at least one ridge portion thereon extending generally laterally across at least a portion of the face portion, an upper body portion above the level of the ridge portion, an upper ramp portion sloped and extending outwardly from the upper body portion to the ridge portion, and a bracing associated with the upper ramp portion maintaining the ridge portion essentially fixed relative to the side wall and maintaining the upper ramp portion essentially fixed in position relative to the side wall under normal forward operating conditions of the rotor. The body member may also include a lower body portion below the level of the ridge portion, and the upper and lower body portions may both be attachable to the side wall.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2007Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventors: Nathan Isaac, Jonathan Ricketts, Bradley Wagner

Publication number: 20060292442Abstract: An insulated terminal for use in an electrochemical cell includes a terminal post and a polymeric insulating material forming a compression seal around the terminal post that maintains an hermetic seal over a temperature range of about ?40° C. to +75°. A terminal for use in an electrochemical cell including a housing and an electrolyte within the housing includes a terminal post having an electrolyte contacting section including a first metal. The first metal is adapted to contact the electrolyte of the electrochemical cell. The terminal post further includes a contact section in electrically conductive connection with the electrolyte contacting section and being adapted to extend outside of the housing of the electrochemical cell. The contact section includes a sealing section including a second metal that is harder than the first metal. The sealing section also includes an insulating material which is held in sealing contact with the second metal of the sealing section via compression.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2006Publication date: December 28, 2006Inventors: Pinakin Shah, Brian Stein, Nathan Isaacs
