  • Patent number: 9453537
Abstract: A coupler pin couples an output sleeve of rotary unit to an input member of a rotary sensor with interference fits. The coupler pin has a first part and a second part. A key groove is formed in an inner surface of a coupling bore in the output sleeve. The first part is received by the coupling bore, and the first part has a key member which is received by the key groove. The second part has a key slot formed therein. The input member has a key. The key has a slip fit with a first part of the key slot and has an interference fit with a second part of the key slot. The key projects inwardly from a wall of a coupling bore in the input member. The second part is divided into a plurality of sections by axially extending cross-cuts.

  • Patent number: 9228316
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a circle drive assembly for a motor grader. The circle drive assembly includes a circle member being rotatable about a rotation axis, a first hydraulic cylinder and a second hydraulic cylinder for rotatably driving the circle member, and a first and second coupling mechanisms. The first hydraulic cylinder has a first end coupled to the first coupling mechanism and the second hydraulic has a second end coupled to the second coupling mechanism. The first coupling mechanism and second coupling mechanism can be controllably moved between a clamped position and an unclamped position. The first hydraulic cylinder rotatably drives the circle member when the first coupling mechanism is in the clamped position and the second hydraulic cylinder rotatably drives the circle member when the second coupling mechanism is in the clamped position.

  • Publication number: 20150336609
Abstract: A vehicle and drive system control method for a vehicle including first and second traction elements coupled to the vehicle, a variable displacement pump, a bi-directional variable displacement first motor coupled to the first traction element, and a bi-directional second motor coupled to the second traction element. The pump, and first and second motors are coupled fluidly in series with one another. A control unit can determine a desired speed for the traction elements, and determine pump, first and/or second motor displacements based on the desired speed. First and second speed sensors can sense output speeds of the motors, and the pump, first and/or second motor displacements can be determined based on the motor output speeds. Articulation and steering sensor signals can also be used to determine pump, first and/or second motor displacements.

  • Patent number: 8820057
Abstract: A method and device for raising the temperature of exhaust gas from an engine by increasing parasitic loading on the engine without significantly increasing engine speed. This may be accomplished by increasing a demand on a hydraulic fan powered by a variable displacement hydraulic pump and meeting the demand by adjusting the displacement for the variable displacement hydraulic pump.

  • Patent number: 8700276
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for selectively controlling a work machine according to a current power device load response. The work machine includes a power device having a rotary output, a traction element, a transmission configured to provide a transmission ratio between the power device and traction element, an operator input device having a plurality of positions, and a control system. The method includes receiving selected range and a position of the operator input device, determining a no-load ground speed target as a function of selected range and input device position, and determining a desired ground speed load response as a function of the selected range. A desired transmission ratio is determined as a function of current machine ground speed and machine load.
