  • Publication number: 20240143348
Abstract: Adapting user interface designs for specific tasks performed by different users is a challenging yet important problem. Automatically adapting visualization designs to users and contexts (e.g., tasks, display devices, environments, etc.) can theoretically improve human-computer interaction to acquire insights from complex datasets. However, effectiveness of any specific visualization is moderated by individual differences in knowledge, skills, and abilities for different contexts. A modeling framework called Personalized Recommender System for Information visualization Methods via Extended matrix completion (PRIME) is described for recommending the optimal visualization designs for individual users in different contexts.

  • Publication number: 20240104870
Abstract: In some implementations, the disclosed systems and methods can detect an interaction with respect to a set of virtual objects, which can start with a particular gesture, and take an action with respect to one or more virtual objects based on a further interaction (e.g., holding the gesture for a particular amount of time, moving the gesture in a particular direction, releasing the gesture, etc.). In some implementations, the disclosed systems and methods can automatically review a 3D video to determine a depicted user or avatar movement pattern (e.g., dance moves, repair procedure, playing an instrument, etc.). In some implementations, the disclosed systems and methods can allow the gesture to included a flat hand with the user's thumb next to the palm, with the gesture toward the user's face.

  • Publication number: 20210209546
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide a system, method, and computer program product using blockchain and applying the internet of things concept to the food system in order to provide an infrastructure to which data can be recorded, shared and validated while data privacy and security is maintained. The collection of this data enables virtual histories of shipments to be created, which can be used to increase efficiency, create new business practices and potentially restructure marketplaces. Overall the solution presents a novel and new method to understanding of our food.

  • Publication number: 20190384895
Abstract: An enterprise software system designed for documentation and certification in inventory/merchandise systems. Specifically, the design of permissioning of multiple documents or files to multiple entities, products or locations for fast user controls and access. Natural language processing allows the system to parse information from files and store information in a higher level datastructure, essentially creating a fileless system. Permissioning control then handles the recombination of such information into the format needed by the receiver, eliminating the need to standardize. Further, information can be validated in a new way that has not been possible before through blockchain and zero knowledge proofs. The system enables the actors to access information while removing threats of disintermediation by concealing identity but proving ownership and authenticity of information.
