    Abstract: A shock absorber test unit is provided, including a housing attached to an automobile body by magnets. The housing has a mass, such as a permanent magnet or coil, which swings with damped oscillations due to inertia. The number of oscillations is counted and indicated on a digital display on the housing via an inductive oscillation sensor attached to the interior of the housing after a jolt of the automobile.
