  • Publication number: 20220008100
Abstract: A cannula includes a tube having a central passage extending between a proximal end and a distal end of the tube along a longitudinal axis of the tube. A first cross section of the passage taken at or adjacent the distal end of the tube and in a plane normal to the longitudinal axis has a first cross-sectional shape, the first cross-sectional shape being non-circular. A second cross section of the passage taken through a portion of the tube proximal to the distal end of the tube and in a plane normal to the longitudinal axis has a second cross-sectional shape. The first cross-sectional shape is different from the second cross-sectional shape. Systems related to cannulas and tools for insertion through cannulas.

  • Publication number: 20140310960
Abstract: A skin engaging member of a razor cartridge is formed from a precursor of a matrix of a first water soluble polymer and a water insoluble polymer. The precursor includes an upper surface region. A powdered second water soluble polymer is applied to an outer surface of the upper surface region. The second water-soluble polymer is mechanically pressed (e.g. by a roller) to embed the second water soluble polymer in the upper surface region. The upper surface region of the skin engaging member has a locally increased combined first and second water soluble polymer content.

  • Patent number: 8621758
Abstract: A handle for a safety razor is provided that includes an elongated hand gripping structure with a cartridge support structure at an end of the hand gripping structure. The hand gripping structure includes a frame and a first and second gripping pad. Each gripping pad can have a thermoplastic elastomeric gripping layer and a nonelastomeric thermoplastic support layer. The first gripping pad has an extension that cooperates with an opening of the frame to provide a snap fit joint between the frame and the first gripping pad. The second gripping pad has an extension that cooperates with the extension of the first gripping pad to prevent disengagement of the snap fit from the opening of the frame. The extension of the first gripping pad can be bifurcated and the extension of the second gripping pad can be received in the bifurcation.

  • Publication number: 20130264237
Abstract: A container has a base and a side wall defining a cavity with an opening and having a rim. A lid, integrally formed with the side wall, is hingedly connected adjacent the rim. Two weakened areas extending each along the side wall from the rim towards the base. A tab, integrally formed with the side wall, extends laterally from the side wall in a direction outwards of the side wall and is located between the two weakened areas. When the container is closed, the lid substantially fills the opening and a snap fit coupling secures the lid to the side wall. To open the container a user exerts pressure on the tab to sever the side wall in the region of the weakened areas and release the snap fit coupling. Since the wall is severed the container cannot be reclosed and is tamper evident.
