  • Publication number: 20220225601
Abstract: Devices and methods and pesticidal and/or pest control compositions are disclosed for the control of pests using the vapors of a pesticidal and/or pest control composition. Compositions, devices, methods and vapor forming pesticidal compositions which have improved vapor forming characteristics and are desirable under certain regulatory structures are also disclosed. In some non-limiting examples, the pests are arthropods or nematodes, and more particularly may include bed bugs, fleas, lice, ticks, or the like.

  • Publication number: 20220155482
Abstract: An improved remote insect detector is disclosed. The detector includes a pitfall trap that is adapted to trap a target insect within the pitfall trap. An insect funnel passage is located below the pitfall trap and is dimensioned to retain the target insect in a detecting position. An optical beam detection circuit operates to detect the target insect in the detecting position and operates to generate a detection signal.

  • Publication number: 20220151217
Abstract: A silica agent applicator includes a reservoir for containing a silica agent. A hollow, deformable bulb is adapted to be squeezed to force air through a first air tube fluidly connecting the bulb and a bottom of the reservoir. A second tube extends from a top of the reservoir to an exit of the applicator, to convey aerosolized silica agent out of the applicator for application onto a surface or an insect.

  • Publication number: 20210259232
Abstract: A release device for a vaporizable and/or sublimateable pesticide is provided. The release device is suitable for use against subterranean pests (e.g. fire ants). The release device may be driven into and/or placed in a cavity within the soil or other substrate where the pests reside. The release device comprises a vapor injector which releases the pesticidal composition through apertures into the pest habitat, where it is distributed in vapor form.
